Couldn't really find a prospect thread, so I figured I would just post in here.

I'm not a big fan of Jimmy Hayes, but Kevin Hayes is looking like a solid prospect for the future. Watching him the last two nights with BC vs BU and he has looked good. Big body, hits, strong stride, strong on his feet, good shot...I like what I see. Also, he is used on the PP as a big body in front of the net and even on his offside at times for a one timer shot.

Not very high on Jimmy...but definitely liking Kevin.

Is there any relation between the two?

Andrew Shaw
notched the go-ahead marker in Rockford's 3-1 win over Milwaukee on Wednesday night. Shaw was extremely impressive in the NHL during his rookie season, putting up 23 points in 37 games, but now he has to spend some more time in the AHL because of the lockout. The Blackhawks' forward has seven goals and 13 points in 21 games thus far.

Brett Lebda should make Hawks roster if season starts. I was at game vs. Abbotsford and he was manning blue line well. He also had a great cross ice pass that led to Pirri goal. Coach Q was at that game and Lebda gave an impressing performance.

I don't see it. To many defenders on the roster

Agreed. Lebda serves a nice purpose down in Rockford with the younger guys as well I would guess.

On defense the Blackhawks currently have...Keith, Seabrook, Hjalmarsson, Oduya, Leddy, Montador, Roszival, and Brookbank that would be considered NHL guys for the most part. 8 guys for 6 spots. With a shortened season (if it happens) I would be against trading anyone because a compact schedule and injuries mean having 8 dmen wouldn't be a terrible idea.
