I disagree with you on that notion, yes, they were not all that great last night, they did play the night before and yes so did Boston, however, Boston is a top tier team in the league and A top three team to win the cup, to say if the Hawks were any good is Bullshit. The Blackhawks are not cup contenders but they are not a shit team either, yes the refs suck and yes the Hawks were robbed of two points regardless if they did sleep walk through the entire game it doesn’t change the notion that they were screwed out of a win....and if the 'hawks were any good, they would have won it anyway like 2013 vs Detroit.
Yes, the refs suck...but if our stars didn't sleepwalk through yet another 40 minutes of the game...we should have won it.
They were pissed of that’s why that 4-3 pp was garbage, the team is unable to deal with the emotions they once did 5 years ago. Whenever they are dealt a hand that changes the outcome of a game the teams crumbles, how many times have they given up leads and end up losing because the team can not bounce back, they can’t refocus as was what happened last night after the disallowed goal.Robbed, last I heard the game does not get stopped for a penalty until the team getting the penalty gets possession of the puck. Eddie was right if it was a hand pass, but that was not the explanation.
did not help that they had a 4 on 3 power play in overtime and they spend some 40 seconds trying to get the puck in the zone and ended up with about 15 seconds of offense..

There's truth to this. We've seen it all season -- this team seems to buckle at the first sign of any sort of trouble. They could be up by 2 to 3 goals, but when the opposition gets their first one, panic ensues. So goes the story for a young team like the Hawks: younguns panic, vets become frantic and try to do too much to compensate.
I don't see what the Hawks ***** is here. I had to hit the can right before it happened but I could hear something going on from the bathroom. When I got back, I backed it up to watch what happened and the playback showed a hand pass....I mean it was a real obvious one as well. Not sure exactly how the rule reads but the hand pass came extremely close to hitting the blade of his stick which I believe would negate the hand pass if it did. It would be like knocking the puck down and picking it up. I tried to back it up again for a better look and lost everything......so I don't even know if they used replay or not. Who knows if that's even reviewable? But that's the only thing that might have changed the call.
Yes, the hand pass would be negated if the puck hit his stick, which it did.
However, the Hawks' "*****" is, that the whistle was prematurely blown at all. If the whistle wasn't blown, the refs could have easily reviewed the goal -- but since that dickhole blew the whistle, it was non-reviewable. If it was a clear hand-pass, then of course, blow the whistle -- but the fact that Maata's stick was in the immediate vicinity compared to the trajectory of the puck, the whistle should never have been blown.
That, plus the ref who waved off the goal, never once made the "hand pass" sign (looks like the ref is gently air-patting an imaginary ass) -- he just waived the goal off after blowing the whistle -- so who knows if that's why he blew the whistle or not. I tend to think that wasn't the reason, because he immediately told both Colliton and Toews on the ice that he made a mistake. It was a delayed penalty call on Boston, and he was the one who was going to call the penalty -- I think he simply was blowing the whistle to call the penalty on Krug (I think it was), even though a Boston player never touched the puck -- hence, why he simply admitted he fucked up immediately.
The NHL came out and explained that the puck simply grazing the stick would not negate the hand pass. The player had to control the puck with his stick before it goes to another player.I don't see what the Hawks ***** is here. Ref admitted he fooked up the call.

Caggiula believes there should be more accountability with costly calls like his disallowed goal.
"If we do something wrong or we make a bad play we get fined for it or we get suspended or something like that," he said. "It doesn't really matter if you say, "Sorry" after you take a penalty, you still get the penalty. I don't know, I just think there needs to be accountability. He admitted his mistake, that's one big thing. It is what it is now."

What is even worse is that a mistake like that is allowed to continue to be a mistake..the whole fckng play should have been reviewable, and the call reversed because ref joe blow admitted he made the mistake..it's fckng stupid that in this day and age the game is allowed to be shit stained by BS calls and "mistakes" and the outcome of a game is affected.Yes, the hand pass would be negated if the puck hit his stick, which it did.
