Interesting. 2 year deal - tough guy...and big defenseman..can play some forward as well.

They don't have money nor need to make a giant splash player. They need a person to be their 5th D-man. A BIG man who can fill that is helpful because unless they do sign Hendry their other options seem to be offensive rookie Dmen.

You shouldn't expect anything to be excited over. Something to just fill out the spot and have a specialty is all that was likely and what is needed.

Exactly - a big 6th/7th defenseman that can throw them. . . who cares if he can play defense or skate- that isn't why you get a guy like this.

I'm a little surprised that they could afford to add anyone at all yet- but this was definitely something that the past season's team was lacking.

March 11th, John Scott a +1 in a win against the Redwings for the lousy Wild... yeah having a big physical D-man on the teams 3rd pairing for cheap is such an issue. Nice to know how some fans can be so blindsighted.
