I love how we poll the IGT and no one votes, but those few who never vote call out others for their vote.

so.....vote.

^^^ I think those who don't vote (I know I don't) are rooting for the Blackhawks to win and that is who they want to win as a fan of the Blackhawks. I think you can easily assume that.

there is a difference between wanting your team to win, and thinking who might be better VIA the matchup. "i think you can easily assume that"

example: the team could be playing the penguins tonight and you can still want your team to win, but vote that the pens will because they are better. not real crazy logic.

Hawks have had a habit lately of winning games that they may not have been expected to win. Ottawa, New York (twice), St. Louis are the first ones that come to mind.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them win but wouldn't be that disappointed if they lost on the road to a red-hot Stars squad.

Great win. We kinda helped out San Jose with this win too. I'd be happy to play San Jose, Dallas or Phoenix in the first round.

Really not much to dislike about the Hawks play tonight. They seem more apt to put together a quick bunch of 2-3 goals when they're on. Defense was solid for the most part, and Crow made saves when needed. Real, real nice win against a team that was on fire.

If they can keep this up when the Captain gets back, April/May could be a lot of fun.

I'll take good signs in March as opposed to good signs in November. The fact that they've beaten a lot of quality opponents in the last month (Rangers twice, Blues, Wings twice, Stars, Senators) is an equally good sign.

But they can quickly ruin all of that goodwill if they lay two eggs against weaker opponents in their next two games: Washington and Columbus. Four points are expected, three are acceptable, anything less is disappointing.

Lots of good signs last night. the top 9 lines chipped in offensively, with the 4th line creating chances. Crawford had probably one of his better games this season. The defense did their job and it looked like they were clogging the middle forcing the Stars to set up around the boards and blue line. Oduya continues to just play solid hockey.

The Stars also tried to hit and wear the Hawks down again, but they were not letting that happen last night. It was good to see all the energy up and down the line-up.
