By virtue of the regulation/overtime wins tiebreaker, the Hawks are technically the top team in the West right now. Either way, Friday nights Lone Star tilt figures to give the Hawks one of their best chances to cement home ice advantage through WCF. It's a shorthanded Dallas team they're getting, too, with a trio of Dallas defensemen out in John Klingberg, Jason Demers, and Jordie Benn. The game also figures to be significantly less handsome with a lower-body injury keeping Patrick Sharp in the press box. Dallas' offense will still have plenty of potent potables in its lineup, but a shorthanded D corps for a team that's already given up the most goals among playoff-bound teams this season should leave plenty of cracks for the Hawks offense to maneuver.
LET'S GO HAWKS!!
