good deal Russians are a rare commodity these days.

No one cares, make a real trade.
Eh, Paradis isn't going to amount to anything for the Hawks. Why not take a voucher on a "puck moving defensemen" who has one more year in NCAA hockey? Pipeline is weak on Dmen, and since McNeill and Danault are here to stay, I'm sure they needed to make a roster spot for them in Rockford.

Ted Dent on Brandon Bollig being scratched tonight, “I don’t know what’s going on with Bollig. So, I can’t comment on that.” #Blackhawks
When asked if Bollig was with the #IceHogs in Rockford, Ted Dent responded, “I can’t comment on that.” #Blackhawks
It sounds like Bollig did not report to Rockford when sent down.
Sound like he never reported back to Rockford.
Not sure how the pipeline is weak on d-men when there are 6 defensive prospects in Rockford right now, nine playing in the NCAA (after this move), and two of them currently in juniors. There are more defenseman in the system than any other position.
This guy isn't going to amount to anything, Stan just found a team that was willing to take on a contract.
We have a large "quantity", sure. "Quality" wise though, I don't see much there outside of a couple so hopefully we get lucky and hit on 1 or 2 of them.
Sure it's opening a contract spot, but why not try and get something out of it.
0 points for an offensive defenseman hardly seems like quality to me, and fits more under quantity... haha
