Ok, so I'm new to hockey.....I'm trying to understand this draft thing/stuff....SO, if Nick signs with the Hawks...can he still go to NDakota and be part of the Hawks?

Hawkwriter knows this stuff best. But, yes, the Hawks could sign him right away and he could still go to North Dakota for college. His contract would not start til he plays for an AHL or NHL squad.
