Because wood fencing is either hard to come by or cost prohibitive with shortage of cedar planks, I'm considering replacing the existing fence around the patio area with a breeze block wall.

Anyone do or have this sort of thing done?

Waiting on contractors to come by for estimates, but was looking to see what range is expected.

Talking about 65 to 85 linear feet, 6 foot tall. Have to pour a footer in for it too.

Not sure where you are in the country, but Chicago area I'm guessing you're looking $7500-$10000 depending on the block you choose.

My neighborhood is littered with wood fences. They look like shit after 5 years - unless you're willing to take care of it and continually stain it. I went with black chainlink - obviously giving up privacy tho if that's what you're seeking.

A blockwall, if you can swing the cost, would be best long term tbh.

Can’t you just get Mexico to pay for it?
