I've used their machines before... Not bad. But we don't have one around here anymore.

Blockbuster Express = last gasp by Blockbuster to stay in business because they were too slow to give up their brick-and-mortar stores.

I just looked at Blockbuster Express' website. Looks like most of them are at either a Dominicks or a Speedway gas station.

**** Blockbuster! When they moved in, they bought out the current rental store, which in turn ended porn rentals :shifty:

You know that some of the people who owned the mom-n-pop video stores are not sorry to see Blockbuster getting put out of business by Netflix, Redbox and iTunes.

Im sure theyre happy. I'd be too if I was bought out like that. Though ironically, despite the multitude of Redboxes, someone opened an actual rental store. Not sure if its doing great, but the 3rd damn subway is next to it.

If you want to get a kickass deal on DVDs and Blu-ray discs, buy them from a Blockbuster that's closing.

I just dropped Netflix disc service for Blockbuster's total access, which is essentially the same thing except I can take my envelopes into my local Blockbuster and exchange them for any movie on the shelf, which I think is cool. I can also rent games, but unfortunately they aren't available right when they come out, but rather 2-3 months later.

But I don't think we have any Blockbuster machines around here.

What happened to the world......it has become lazy.....people used to get off there ass and go in the viseo stores and make transactions face to face.....this could be the reason for a lot of video stores going out of biz.

I've had Netflix since 2006 and it's great. What's wrong with paying a flat fee per month for unlimited rentals, without having to waste time and gas money going to a store with very limited choices. I'd rather choose from thousands of titles available for less money and more convenience.

I recently switched to the Blockbuster service so I'd have the choice of physically going to the store to pick stuff out. It's cool and all, but their selection is pretty limited and they often don't have the Blu Ray version of movies. I don't even bother renting DVDs unless that's the only way to get a film.

I feel ya.
That's the way it is now a days..
I can't help it I grew up in the 70s, 80s and 90s......I'm just old school and the way I see it, technology has put a lot of businesses like video stores and Cd stores out of biz because everyone just downloads shit now......less jobs

I'm one of the few that still manages to get off my ass and go in the video stores and make the transactions face to face.

The only thing is I usually only rent movies once every couple of months or so. I honestly don't remember the last movie I rented.

So a monthly subscription just wouldn't be worth it for me.

Real mutafuckaz BUY CDs and DVDs
Thats me. Havent rented a movie in 7 years. I buy em when they come out. However I do like the concept of Netflix. Tv shows, movies, its really awesome knowing you can watch it whenever and not when the station decides to air it, let alone trying to find it to buy.
