Im not sure what we would get back since I get surprised by every move. Lawrie might be nice but that may be too much. hawk would FAP though if we got him.

I really like Gordon and I love what Gordon was supposed to become. But if a team wants to give us a starting 3b in Lawrie or a leadoff hittter why wouldn't we do it? Gordon's glove and willingness to play all his "unnatural" positions at such a high level has been quite unexpected and welcomed. Equally so his bat hasn't been what we had in mind when he was drafted.

Chum the water and see if a good bite can be had for him.

I would love Lawrie! Dude has potential!

I think he is finally starting to mature as an all around player. That said, 99 losses means we need to upgrade where we can.

Beckham is a good kid, but a lousy 2nd baseman. Get what you can get for him and move on.

That's why you can't fall in love with barely average players... they're a dime a dozen.

As a hitter he's lousy. As a second sacker he's borderline elite

So now he's a gold glove 2nd baseman? He's a utility player who makes as many bad plays as good ones.

Bottomline, he's not worth his contract so get him out of here.

Yes he's gg caliber
Yes he's worth his contract
You need to pay a lot more attention to his fielding

That said, see if we can upgrade

Semien's having a good AFL so far I seen Phil Rogers tweet

@philgrogers: Two-homer game today from White Sox infielder Marcus Semien in the AFL. He's pushing to trigger trade of Gordon Beckham or Alexei Ramirez.

Alright, you wanting to give Beckham consideration for a GG really had me perplexed. I mean, I watch him all the time and always thought of him as just a steady fielder, but then this.

So I looked up his stats and guess what I found?

He was just an average fielder, barely. Out of 11 2nd baseman with over 100 games in the AL, Beckham ranks.... wait for it.... 11th! Nothing special about his fielding, nothing special about 24 RBI and 5 HRS either. Time to move on.

Semien will likely at some point be the starting third basemen, but I would prefer to leave him in Charlotte for a bit more. His stats decreased a lot from Birmingham to Charlotte, which is somewhat to be expected, but I'd rather ease him than rush him like some argue we did with Beckham.
