The full name of the team is the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, the shortened names piss me off.

We should have traded him there for Murton.

Ya, but their season started kinda recently, didn't it? They were delayed by the typhoon, so they started their season late.

Yea as I am sure most know the mascot of the team is the Fighters and not the Ham Fighters. The Nippon Ham company purchased the team, and they changed the name to Nippon Ham Fighters.

Also you probably know this but Major League and Japanese League teams can't trade players between each other. There is agreement between the two leagues that govern how players can go between the two leagues which is how the posting system was created.

Ya, IK they can't trade.

And Nippon Ham Fighters is the shortened name, not the full name, the full name is Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, that's what I was saying. That's their official designation in English, and I know they are owned by Nippon Ham.

Didn't they just add the Hokkaido because they are going, or have they already, move out of Tokyo to Hokkaido?

Hokkaido was added when the moved out of Tokyo to Hokkaido, yes, but they moved before the 2004 season, so it's been their name for 7 years now.

Shows how much I pay attention to the NPB. I knew that it had been that way for a while, but didn't realize it had been 7 years already.

Murton is on Hanshin anyway, Hoffapuir was the one with Hokkaido... so even if we could trade, screw that, I screwed up.
