I highly doubt it was terrorists. Times Square has already been evacuated so there doesn't seem to be a threat.

If this bomb went off, we're talking about mass casualties. The car was spotted around dinner time on a Saturday Night in Times Square. There could have been 1,000's of people there at that time. Thank God this didn't go off and hopefully they find who's responsible for this. I have a feeling it was a stolen or rented car.

Let's calm down here. From THIS article says it looked like the car was filled with gasoline...hardly the inner-workings of a serious explosive device. Unless there were hundreds of people packed around the car for some reason, I doubt there would be many casualties, if any; just a huge fireball. That is, of course, IF the gasoline was ignited, which can be tricky at best.

which leads me to believe the former NYPD bomb squad who just said on the local news that he thinks it was a dry run for whoever made the bomb to see how it works. I think(but pray to God it doesn't happen.) that something like this will happen in the future. and it will be bigger.

I heard about it yesterday. Not really shocking. Were never gonna stop every terrorist. If they want to cause harm they will.
