That, and it will teach you about religion, and how the vast majority who practice or tolerate see it.

Of course I do, been there done that. I'm just interested in looking at what he's talking about, if it's something I've not seen before. I find historical info about the beginnings of the church pretty fascinating history. Gives me strength, knowing that no matter how far I fall, how desperate I become, I can always just make up my own religion....

I have seen it twice. I am stoked to see it again. I basically make everyone see it.

Yes, Matt Parker and Trey Stone, creators of South Park, Basketball, Orgasmo, and others I"m sure, have created an award winning broadway smash hit that is now traveling across the country and the toast of every town. It's at the top of my list to see, but as mentioned, tickets can be steep, and hard to get at times. Last I looked tickets were at least 3 months out.

No, not really...

Without spoliers, it is basically the Rockstar Mormon youth paired with the Jester Mormon youth and they are assigned to Africa for their missionary work. I truly laughed my ass off both times and is some of the best humor out there.

And what REALLY sucks is that I cant have fun with Mormons getting up in arms, because they love it too! In the programs you see advertisements for Mormon stuff and the like.

It is top-notch and worthy of all the Tony awards they have won.

My mom refuses to see it. "I don't want to see something that is gonna make fun of my beliefs". Well mom, if you can't handle it, then you shouldn't see it. But if you don't know what they are saying or doing, don't judge it.

I'm glad they extended it in Chicago - I'm hoping I can catch it sometime before September.

And honestly, most Mormon's I've met (besides that goat-blower posting here) seem to have very good senses of humor... for more than the other typical Christian folks.

Yea, I am talking about the Musical.

They don't bash the concept of religion, mostly the historical impossibilities or inaccuracies. But, in Matt and Trey fashion, they bash the doubters and haters too. I think they did and outstanding job in defining faith with their story.

Like Count I do not want to give any spoilers, but the innuendos and very well written songs are the best part. Totally love the villages chant when they first get there. It has become a regular use at work by some of my guys.

If you want a cheeper option play there is always Othello: The Remix at the Chicago Shakespeare theater (http://www.chicagoshakes.com/main.t...m_campaign=M1213OTREDrop 1aPreviousQBrosShows). There are 50% off tickets for certain shows now.

It is the play Othello to hip-hop. I have not seen it yet (has not opened in Chicago), but I have seen the other two this group has done. Pretty good, short enough, and they do a really good job with keeping the original language as much as possible. They are also the one's that did that "We love the 'Hawks" music video that made fun of bandwagon fans during the cup winning season.
