I would love to find one person who can try to tell me why that is not the case. Jennings is right now SLAMMING Roses, rookie stats, let alone this years stats. Rose has NEVER played like Jennings is playing. I would love one of you to challange me on how Rose is better!

If you need real proof, like empirical evidence, then I don't think anyone could argue, but if you can argue over potential someone may have a case because of Rose's athleticism.

I however would not be that person, it looks to me that Jennings is already beast offensively, but may struggle on defense because of his size. Rose has never been a beast offensively or even displayed the kind of offensive talent, scoring and passing, that Jennings has shown all season, not just tonight. Rose also has been pretty bad defensively, better this year than last, but because of his size and athleticism he has great potential on that side of the ball.

But like I said as far as actual game play right now, unfortunately for Bulls fans, it would be quite hard to argue for Rose.

Jennings is better on defense than Rose too. He's small, but the guy is tough.

I think I did pretty well on my ROY predictions. I picked Tyreke Evans with Brandon Jennings runner up. I think it might be flipped the other way around, but both guys are playing great ball.

It's a shame though that Jennings is going to be in the same division as us. The guy just knows how to play basketball really, really well.

Rose abused Jennings about 3 years ago at the UIC. Next question.

Yeah, you got a point, because both were not as good in contrast view. Wow, BJ scores 55 and now he's better than Rose. I think your little non-breaking news would of been taken serious around June 25.

I argued with you about this last night, so what the hell, I'll make my case again.

Don't just look at stats, I hate that, & I know you hate that, & they never tell the whole story. While it appears that Jennings is better than Rose, there are several factors that you aren't taking into account.

1) Atleast for play this season, ROSE IS INJURED. And it's quite obvious it's affecting his play. When he's fully 100%, I expect his numbers to rise.

2) For Rose's rookie season & this season too, let's look at the talent on his team. He played along side Gordon, Salmons, Deng, Hinrich, Miller, all these players are much better than the talent surrounding Jennings right now. Other than Bogut, who's not a prolific scorer, there is NO ONE on Milwaukee to take any shots & make them. Jennings takes 20shots per game to lead his team because HE HAS TO. Rose did not lead the team in shots last year & doesn't lead the team in shots this year either. He takes less than 13 per game.

3) Look at the type of player. Rose is a distributor. He looks to pass first, shoot second. He's always been this way. Jennings is a point cut from the AI mold. He looks to shoot first, pass second. He's an aggressive scorer. Rose is still the better passer right now & better at getting his teammates involved in the game. Imagine how many assists per Rose would have right now if Salmons & Hinrich could hit a wide open jumper.

4) Rose is just as quick, but 3 inches taller & over 30lbs stronger. He's not a better shooter than BJ, but he can get to the rim with just as much ease.

5) And this one tends to hurt Rose but I still love him for it, overall attitude. Rose is one of the most humble players in the NBA. Jennings ego is already AI-sized. He doesn't even know his teammates last names! Rose humbleness hurts him at times out on the court, but I'm certain that swagger will come in time. I get the feeling that Jennings is going to alienate alot of teammates during his career with his overall brash, cocky attitude.

Jennings is playing better right now, there's no arguing that. But in the end, Rose will be the better overall player imho. Jennings is a better scorer & will be a very good player in this league, but I think the skills & size that Rose possesses at the point position will make him the better overall player down the road.

Salmons isn't the guy I would want to see in a Bulls uniform after this year. Hinrich is a great PG to have behind Rose. Starting Hinrich isn't a good idea. I don't like the Rose and Hinrich lineup. Its a bunch of crap and the ultimate slap to Gordon fans. I rather have Gerald Green than Hinrich.

Seriously? I agree about Salmons, though I only want him gone really for cap reasons. And the Rose/Hinrich combo has actually been good for us this year. Yes, Kirk has been a trainwreck on the offensive end, but his defense has been very good. And it's not a slap to Gordon fans. The slap to Gordon fans came from JR earlier in the year when he let him walk for nothing.

And Gerald Green rather than Hinrich? Do you even watch basketball? Green is a horrible player. He's not even a basketball player. He's an athlete with no basketball skills. And he's not even in the NBA right now! Hinrich is 20x's the player that Green is, but hey Green can blow out a candle while dunking, which translates well to game situations.

Can we have mod lock this thread. There is already another one BJ.

The OP of this thread is a dumbass who doesn't know anything about basketball.

BJ is small, weak and frail.

I think you're overreacting a little bit Mark.

Jennings' 55 was awesome, but he's played 8 NBA games. Let's see how he does once opposing D's start focusing on him. Scoring 55 points is gonna grab everyone's attention now. And lets see how he does once he hits the wall. And he will since he didn't play that much for his Euro team (not sure why??). I'm sure he won't continue to shoot .53% from beyond the arc.

Jennings is impressive but I'll take Rose.

Rose wins championships. Jennings scores. I don't think it's by accident that Rose has more prior success than Jennings. Rose physically held Jennings scoreless in most of their prior meetings, dating back to highschool. Rose will post his little ass up and go to work on him.

That's not really fair to Jennings, as he was a year younger, and a year makes a lot of difference in high school ball.

In their one pro meeting so far, Brandon Jennings dropped 25 points on Rose, albeit on about 50 TS%.

Howver, what Rose and Jennings do in their head to head matchups isn't all that important in determining who is the better player.
