Three years older Jenkins 27th birthday is on December 26th.

Nobody is striving for mediocrity they're just saying focus on the bigger needs first like tackle and center before guard you don't worry about a paint job if the engine is bad.

Everyone agrees Whitehair needs to be replaced we are just saying lets fix some holes before we start digging more.
And Whitehair turns 31 in July, so lets just say 3 1/2 years older.

And I know EXACTLY what everyone is saying. But like I said in my post, that's just not how things work. The OL is a unit. You don't upgrade it 1 for 1. You upgrade it by upgrading individual pieces, but you upgrade the overall unit instead of focusing on a specific position.

***I started typing up a longer response, but I was just rehashing things I said in my previous post, that you clearly didn't read or understand. Since you just repeated your bad logic and started making false equivalencies to a paint job on a car.

If you want to focus the overall unit then focus on the weaker position with more options in free agency. Guard is a weak in this years free agency Jenkins was just about the only guard worth a damn that would hit and he's already gone.

How is focusing on guard better for the overall unit?

Now look at the center FA class. And Jenkins was most certainly NOT the only strong guard on the market

Who do you like at guard in free agency? Center looks pretty stacked to me.

I've gone thru the names before. And again, unlike C you don't have to sign a LG to play LG, you can sign a RG, a RT, a LT or a C to play LG. You can find a Jenkins or a Whitehair (who was a college OT). If you're signing a C, it's going to be a guy that has experience snapping the ball. Good luck getting one of those 4-5 players available who has proven they can do that.

This is why I'm sarcastic you say shit then don't back it up with facts and change the subject "well this" or "well you can do that".

Whitehair did play tackle at college but he also played guard in college.

How are you going to talk about Whitehair and not remember he didn't play center in college but did start as center for the Bears and do pretty well for the most part but he's a better guard. He had snapping issues though.

Good luck getting one of those 4-5 players available who has proven they can do that.

All it takes is one but yeah it'll be tough nobody is denying that.
