This is basically a full season between two NFL teams with him performing better with the Bears. He's obviously not the long term solution but they would be pretty hard pressed to replace these numbers.

He doesn't have the arm to make a lot of plays in the red zone. Good between the 20s game manager. Not dynamic enough to be what you want as a starter though. I wanna say the Texans scored more points per drive with TJ Yates in 2015 than with Hoyer (may be wrong but I believe that is the case).

Exactly. It would also be nice to have a QB that can push the ball down the field when you need it as well. But not constantly turn it over while pushing it down the field like our current QB.

I hope they bring him back on a two year deal. He's a perfect "bridge" QB.

I don't think anybody is doubting he should be brought back but he is not the QB you want leading your franchise after 3 embarrassing seasons and job on the line.

Worth mentioning his one playoff game, though:

15-34, 136 yards, 0 TDs, 4 INTs, 15.9 Rating.

If they do not re-sign him, they are really stupid. Then again, we know that they are REALLY STUPID. So they will not re-sign him.

So what you are saying is the Bears should re-sign Hoyer rather than trading for Hoyer lite (Jimmy G).

Agreed

There were many occasions where Hoyer refused to throw it the the open receiver down field. And there were many occasions where he missed badly when he actually did throw it down field.
