A great article for fans who like to make excuses for every player on the hawks.
atleast he is admitting that he isn't playing up to snuff...
he has played the role I expected him to.
He has 2 power play goals where he was right in front of the net, and he is a monster fighting for pucks in the corners.
Is he the fastest skater? No, but he seems to be in the right place most of the time, and his veteran leadership will be huge come crunch time/playoff time
Hmmm... I wonder who was saying this before the season started. He is here to put up PP Goals and throw up 40+ points, what else is expected of him?
to all of a sudden be a faster skater even though he has produced with the same skating speed his entire career?
How dare you go off of his resume, like an actual company would do :slap:
right, because again regression plays no factor.
ps- what would you know about a resume?

He hasn't gotten any slower than he already was.
It seems like most people knew exactly what to expect out of Brunette before he got here. Was anyone making him out to be a point per game player and a full package?
He gets dirty in the corners, stands on top of the paint, and has soft hands in tight areas.
His last 4 seasons...
07/08 - 82 games and 59 pts
08/09 - 80 games and 50 pts
09/10 - 82 games and 61 pts
10/11 - 82 games and 46 pts
So far this year he is on pace for 82 games and 40 pts (granted only through 10 games so it can easily change).
The dude is Mr. Consistency.
exactly...
everyone seems to think that since we support a player, then we think they are as good as Toews and Kane
Brunette is doing EXACTLY what we expected
