Since it´s the offseason and the last weeks were pretty boring, here something new to discuss:

Build the best possible Bulls team, just by using players from 2000 till now. All players must have played for the Bulls.

How far would they come next season?

I think the team would look like this:

1) Rose, 6) Hinrich
2) Gordon, 7) Crawford
3) Deng, 8) Salmons
4) Boozer, 9) Gibson
5) Noah, 10) Chandler

11) Brand
12) Nocioni

I don´t know about players like Jalen Rose, Ron Mercer or Jay Williams because I didn´t see them enough.

I think this would be a ECF team, but I´m not sure they could win it all. Can you build a Bulls team that can?

Discuss!

Just going by stats with the Bulls or in that era or career it's not that easy, forming a roster to compete either. Some players did more before they got here or after they left.

I actually agree. It's not always about the guys that put up the big stats, but the guys that keep the team moving. Plus, when I put him in as a starter, I factored in that he would be hurt for 1/2 of the season LOL.

actually now that i see it, i COULD see rip being the starter, and gordon being in a closer role because it's not always about who starts.

But i would still put a young crawford in his last season in chi town over hamilton, even if gordon was playing 6th man. Crawford brings another guy that can distribute and handle the ball, and i think that would be needed, even on a 2000s bulls team.

Crawford and Hinrich could both be legit combo guards for different situations, and Crawford could fill in at the point, or even start if Rose goes down on this fantasy team.

PG-Rose,Hinrich
SG-Crawford,Gordon,Hamilton,J. Rose
SF-Deng,Salmons,Nocioni
PF-Brand,Boozer,
C-Noah,Chandler

B miller and Gibson could be added as well...

that would be i think the best collective group you could put out there..but you could tweak certain parts if you want to go a certain style

i think it would depend on how you split the minutes with rose, who would be starting. I think crawford could fill in some stretches at the point, but i dont think that takes away from him starting at SG. I still like having two guys who can create and distribute to start off with to catalyze the offense. I mean, some of those guys on there can kind of create as well, but they either weren't/aren't as good distributors or at that point they just weren't as good overall as crawford was. Plus the guys at the front of the rotation are kind of like a mutated version of recent teams because they feature a few of those players. Those teams struggle a little with offensive flow, creating, and distributing, on some occasions. I think that's where crawford could come in.

i think a bit of it can depend on how minutes are distributed, are we talking 30-35 minutes for starters, or 20-25. I think it can make a difference.

If rose went down, then yea you might either put crawford or hinrich. But i'm not going to think that far ahead:shifty:

It's not so much about the ideal line-up, as it would be countering the opponent with the ideal match-ups.

well, in that case, you could throw out some very different sorts of arrangements if you're trying to work on match-ups. But we would need an opposing team in order to assess that, because you have very different matchups depending on the teams.

Usually with these kinds of teams, you pick the best starting 5, or best matching starting 5 because these teams are built on a singled-out vacuum. Really i think we're talking about a standardized lineup.

It's going to be Boris Diaw x12.
