An idea to build a competitive team for the next 5 years at least.

This is the team I would like to see with getting rid of Brewer, Boozer, and Rip

NBA Salary Cap: 58 Mil
Players are listed with their salary for next year.

Starters:
PG: Derrick Rose 15 mil
SG:
SF: Luol Deng 13 mil
PF: Taj Gibson 2.5 mil (will probably raise to 5-7 range)
C: Joakim Noah 11 mil

Bench
PG: Marquis Teague 1 mil
SG: Kyle Korver 5 mil
SF: Jimmy Butler 1 mil
PF:
C: Omer Asik 3 mil (Qualifying offer)

Total: 51 mil 7 under the soft cap with the ability to go into the luxury tax. Even though that 7 mil will be soon taken by Taj and Omer.

That leaves us with holes at shooting guard and backup forward. The shooting guard is a major problem and the best chance to fix it is through the draft. Its possible we could get Courtney Lee for around 5 mil who is a solid player but, we really need a person who can create their own shot and I have no idea who to get.

For the backup forward that is relatively easy to fill by signing Jordan Hamilton or my idea of Jamie Skeen from VCU final four run.

Any ideas you have to get the bulls over the hump.

maybe this person isn't FT

tough for me to think of a player that can create his own shot that's cheap

brandon roy has knee problems but he could be considered

crawford is probably too expensive, even with the amnesty and getting rid of guys like rip and brewer

the bulls either need a really good outside shooter or a guy who can create his own shot

you could do a S&T, but then you might be getting rid of more pieces and depth

brandon roy is gonna be cheap

doubt it teams are gonna offer him MLE (5.5m)money maybe more and for a guy with cronic knee pain that is a big risk. I bet he signs with the Pacers he and Kevin Prichard are close.
