i'm not sure how much longer it's going to last, but it's time to relish this moment! bulls just beat: pheonix, the rockets, and san antonio. Who would have thought it?

If Rose keeps playing this way and Salmons and Hinrich continue to not suck like they did earlier, this team will probably not have many 35 point lead meltdowns. At the very least, it makes the team very fun to watch. I hope with all my heart and soul that they can keep it up.

There's no question were going to end this season over 500. This is the best the Bulls have played all season. They did not play that well in today in San Antonio as they did against the Suns and Rockets but we got the win.

Rose is playing like a superstar and should make the All Star team! No DOubt about it!!

Hinrich is playing the second best right now. He is doing exactly what he should be doing to win games.

Deng is playing well, Miller found his rhythm, Noah is playing well as usual.

I think the only one not playing that well is Salmons, he just seems to lack chemistry with the team.

I agree with everything you said and want to make 2 points.
1)
I love the fact the bulls have so many good shot blockers because, shot blocker often erase defensive mistakes. The Bulls bigs are young athletic, long and run the floor well. Gotta give Pax credit for drafting Gibson....he is better than Blair at everything except rebounding.
2)
Salmons has struggled but, still makes a good effort. I think he fits on this team but, is playing out of position. He is much more of a 3 than a 2. Hopefully with Brown, coming in Salmons will play much less at the 2 and more at the 3.

I have to disagree with you on salmons, his effort isn't always consistent imo, especially when things aren't going well for him offensively. If the only mins that are available for him are backing up deng, he may pout/wilt even more. He's certainly a better 3 than 2 but given our current roster and the fact that he doesnt want to come off the bench, I don't think he fits at all.

I believe Salmons is gone...and I believe that the Bulls will make a major push for either Amare or Bosh before February 18th...but Salmons is gone for any expiring they can get.

1.5 games out of 5th ... with the hardest part of the schedule done. This team has a real chance of getting a winnable playoff series.

What I meant was the Salmons fits if we have to get rid of Deng. Basically, what I am saying is with Deng, Salmons, Kirk, we could trade 2 out of the 3 if need to and still have a decent rotation. Salmons is an adequate to good replacement for Deng if we have to trade him.

Totally agree. This is why traded for Devin Brown to play spot minutes and then we can play JJ a bit more.

IMO, the reason we have been playing well are actually simple.

* Vinny finally decided on the rotation that was BEST SUITED for this team.
* We finally have a set rotation and everyone is accepting their roles.
* nobody is sucking as much as they did earlier in the year (Hinrich/Salmons)
* Rose has become the Star that we thought he would.
* Shooting - we are finally making our most of the open shots.

Those 5 things are really the reason we have been winning now and everyone is gaining confidence. NBA is a lot about confidence and believing in themselves. Now Bulls are finally believing in each other and accepting Rose as their best player and lets him do the things and Rose is taking advantage of it and helping the team win with some major clutch shots - that people look into their star player or go-to player.

Also, Bulls are 3 full games better than last year even though Bulls lost their leading scorer in the off season and everyone knew that we would take a small step back - but instead we took a step forward. :woohoo:

I am sooooooooooo excited about Bulls that I don't even get enough sleep any more.

Not everyone, plenty of us were predicting more than 41 wins before the season started.

I said they would be the same as last year...I said that losing "the tallest midget" was a short term loss and long term gain. And I felt they would win 41 games...those who saw more wins...good for you...you might be right...I just didn't see it...

Well, 42 is more than 41. :p Some of us saw the pace we were at to finish last season and assumed that even though BG would be gone, we'd still do better. Those people probably predicted in the 44-49 win range. That, I think, is a little bit much. Then there are those of us who said that BG being gone would ruin this team because we have no clutch scoring/consistent outside shooting etc so we would probably suck. Those people predicted 30-39 wins. The rest probably figured that either losing BG would negate the fact that the team was better or they figured Deng would come back strong, Noah and Rose would improve, etc, but losing BG would result in us losing a bunch of close games or something like that. Those are the ones who predicted 40-43 wins but figured there was a potential to do much better or much worse depending of how things worked out. On average, were the team is at right now is probably on track or a little above what people on the whole expected.

Surely this must be the first time the Bulls won 4 in a row on the road since Jordan?

The last time they won 3 in row was 96.
