Givony mentioned in podcast about Bulls wanting to move up. Depending on how high we can get Blair somewhere around 10 would be nice or if you really want to shoot for the stars get to 4 with Kings, 5 with Wizards or 6 with Twolves and see if you can steal Jordan Hill or James Harden. Either one of those two would be great for us. I can see either of those 3 teams maybe wanting some kind of deal.

I'd try to move up to that #4 spot and start praying that Hasheem Thabeet falls. If not, just take Jordan Hill and call it a day (or trade the pick to Phoenix/Toronto).

The only deal I could see is with Twolves which is really possiblity. Hill should still be there. Has anyone ever scouted Hill? Whats his game like

Thabeet has bust written all over him. Hes 200 pds with no offensive game to speak of. I would love to get Derozan at 6.

Hill reminds me of a much much better version of Ronny Turiaf.

Only reason I'd like making a trade to move up is to help sweeten a package deal for a big time interior scorer. I don't see any potential all-stars after the top two.

Its not like Amare and Bosh are stars. There that level behind that. By the way correct me if Im wrong here, but Hill seems like Nene type of player

Amare has made the first team once and the second team twice in the last 5 years. If he's not a star then the list of stars is pretty damn short.

Depends on what your list is. My definition of star is guy you build your team around. Your number one option. I don't think he's one number one option, but one of best 2 options

I saw quite a few Arizona games the past few years, Hill is not like Nene because he isn't a banger. He really isn't that physical down low, he does have a big body and can learn to use it. I don't know if he is a good fit for us, he is kinda Tyrus. He is very athletic, taller than Tyrus, has the potential for a nice J but doesn't have it yet. He is bigger and can definately fill out but not right now, it would be a risk.

No one in this draft really impresses me other than Griffin. Outside of that, total crapshoot. Honestly I am done with the youth movement. I'd rather trade both picks and gets us a veteran star big. God dropped a gift in our lap in Rose. He's needs proven scorers around him so he can blossom. I'm thru with the potential thing. Noah is showing signs, but will he really apply himself this summer. Will Ty ever reach his potential? Or front court is young as it is, there's no reason to add to that.

I think Thabeet is a lock to at least be a great shotblocker in the NBA, Stephen Curry a great shooter.

Cole Aldrich is the only other guy that I thought would be really good, before he dropped out. I'm not really impressed by the point guards.

Hopefully we trade our picks for Bosh/Amare, and don't have to worry about drafting someone. But Paxson's a pretty good drafter, so it won't be the worst thing in the world if we keep the picks.

From what I understood from Doug's podcast, the Bulls are working out players that are ranked way above their draft position. If that's the basis of the news that the Bulls are moving up, I think that's pretty sketchy. I don't have any other insider info that will validate that news so probably the Bulls are just doing their due diligence since this draft has a lot of variables. After the draft order has been set by the lottery, if you would study the available players, guys after number 5 (like DaJuan Blair, Jrue Holiday, Tyreke Evans, Stephen Curry, Jonny Flynn, DeMar Derozan, Earl Clark, etc.) can drop to #16. I made my own mock, guessing other team needs and I came out with Tyreke Evans available at 16. It may be wrong, but it's an illustration of how wild and highly variable this draft is.

He's a number one option offensively for sure. In 07/08 he was simply awesome, you look at the list of other players who have put up over 25 points a game on > .65 TS% and you see three hall of famers and Amare.

Maybe he's not capable of being the best player on a title team (always hard to say, because it depends on your team and how strong the competition is), but to me there's no doubt he's capable of being the leading scorer.

The chances of us getting someone like that, even with trading up, are slim to none.

If we could really trade a mid 1st rounder and a late 1st rounder for 'a veteran star big' then we'd be crazy not to. However, that assumes such a move is possible.

The Bobcats are willing to trade the 12th so they could be a move up trade target

If the draft is really as much of a suckfest, how is the 26th pick going to entice anyone to move down? Likewise, why would we want to move up and extend salary to two players whose contributions will be filed (hopefully)under competent roster fodder?

There's always one guy who gets picked over for some reason: one power forward in the 2nd round; two point guards that faultered during tryouts but display a better understanding of the game as the season progresses; a defensive specialist comes out of nowhere from a small school. But in most years, you have at least had heard of the 2nd rounders or saw them play on T.V. This year is like the year when somebody like Romain Sato gets drafted not because he's any good, but because he's the only person left that the GM has heard of.

With the kiddie pool polluted, let's avoid the spittle and stash a project overseas, not sign him, and save the cash to spend on average veterans who can play defense. Assumeing that Gordon finds his way on to the team next year, this team scores adequately. We save the 2 million for something we really need.
