Kelly Dwyer has finished his top 30 positional rankings, and Joakim Noah comes in as the 7th best center.

7. Joakim Noah(notes), Chicago Bulls (last year: 15th)

Though his fiery personality and, um, unconventional offseason habits are the Houston forward's polar opposite, Noah almost reminds of a 7-foot version of Shane Battier. The ultimate teammate, Noah is constantly barking out the opposing team's play, his position on the help defense side and he's the first to meet a teammate when things go perfectly, terribly awry, or somewhere in the middle.

He also put together a double-double last season while playing just 30 minutes per game, a fantastic accomplishment. And he's made huge strides in his rebounding since entering the league as a rookie in 2007, topping out with a rebound rate that flew past the 20 percent mark last season.

I am cautiously optimistic about Noah. I really love when he is in shape and healthy but he has yet to put together a full season. I fear he's going to come in out of shape because of the plantar faciatis. He is the heart of this team but I am worried he is gonna end up like Deng for us. I really hope he breaks out, he sounds like a great guy and he leaves it all out there. He is like a taller Rodman without the craziness.

I know Horford plays center for Atlanta...But to me Horford is naturally a PF.

I think Noah is better than Kaman..and could be better than Bogut and Bynum based on the fact those two seemingly are always injured...I do think Lopez will be better than Noah, but it ends there...Right now, I put Noah as the 5th best center in the league (Disqualifying Horford that is).

The question is how good can Noah get? Can he possibly be a league leading rebounder? All league defender? I believe on paper this is the best team since 1998 and though Deng is the x-factor when considering just how good the Bulls will be...Noah is going to be exciting to watch just to see where his ceiling is. There is a slight chance that the Rodman comparisons are not that far off at all...

I can't wait to watch the Boozer Noah tandem this team has the potential to be really good especially if deng can stay healthy.

Deng staying healthy is key.

If he does, then we have a solid front court.

When Bogut is the #2 center in the NBA -- it just goes to show you how a slightly above average Center (like Noah) is a huge, huge asset.

Assuming good health for the whole season and an improved 3pt shot from Deng (at least in the corners if nothing else), we could have one of the best, if not the best, frontcourt in the league. They'd dominate on the glass (about 30 rebounds a game just from Noah, Boozer, and Deng assuming they average 11, 11, and 8 respectively or some variant) and could possibly put up 50-55 points (about 20 from Boozer, 18 from Deng, 12 from Noah plus or minus a few points) easily on a given night. That's an exciting thought.
