As for free agency, sources said the Bulls will pursue Kirk Hinrich, although they won't offer a full mid-level exception. Plus, he isn't the only target. Hinrich, who lives in his north suburban home in the offseason, told the Tribune in March he would consider the Bulls but also explore all options. - Chicago Tribune

Isn't lucas a FA though? They might not even re-sign him if he is.

Thibs has known the Turd since he was 12. Got him a job with the Rockets & now the Bulls. I doubt he's going anywhere.

I don't mind Kirk on a cheap deal...like 3-4M a year. He could be at least as good as Watson was...perhaps a little better. Plus he can play a little bit of the 2 sorta...

But yeah...we all know what we're getting from him.

He's not gonna come here for that though. You might think that's all he's worth, but let's be serious, he can find a much better deal anywhere else he's looking at.

lookin at his numbers yeah

but yeah i think he can get 3 or 4 mill elsewhere

besides they want to let watson go because his option is 3 mill...you think they would let him go just to give that money to kirk? makes no sense

our pgs will prob be

Teague/Lucas or Teague/James

Well the OP said that they wouldn't give him the full MLE which I believe is only about 5.6M or so. I could see them going as low as like 2.5ish (a little under half the MLE) up to 4. It's dependent on if he wants more money or is willing to come here for less, but I don't think he's wanting to come here for the minimum. Makes no sense. His numbers are also bad because he's gotten less minutes and he came off an injury and never really got back into the rotation that much.

Yes. As long as I don't have to see Watson or Lucas in a Bulls jersey.

I definitely would like to have Hinrich back on the team if we can get him for cheap and we don't keep either Lucas or Watson but like others have said on here, other teams would be willing to pay more for him. I could definitely see the Lakers going after him since they have wanted him before if I'm not mistaken.

he plays good D and has a decent outside shot

if he's relatively cheap,why not?

Pretty much.

This is my logic...if we swap out CJ for Kirk we don't really lose anything. Watson might have more scoring potential, but the way Thibs is using him, that role is probably actually better suited for Hinrich's game. I think we could get by using Kirk and Teague while Rose is out. Since Brewer/Korver are probably gone, once Rose comes back I guess Kirk slides over to play more 2 backing up Rip. Not totally ideal, but it works. Plus then we are 3 deep at PG, but none of them are JL3. :smug:
