Dejuan Blair and Earl Clark and "others" are supposed to be there from what I've heard. I'll try and report back on what I hear about it.

I hope the Bulls notice that Clark is Tyrus with a jump-shot. We need him. Clark talks funny too!

So Clark is Tyrus since Ty has a nice jump shot.

he's nowhere near the shooter of Clark. Clark can stretch the defense out to 24 feet. Tyrus can't create his own shot consistently like Clark can.

Thanks Doug!

If we really like what we see from Earl Clark then we'll have to be moving up in the draft. There is approximately .000008% chance of him falling to is at #16.

Very interesting, very interesting.

At age 19 (year 1), tyrus's numbers pace adjusted per 40 minutes:
19.1 points, 60% FG%, 14.2 boards, 2.0 assists, 4.8 blocks, 1.6 steals, 4.0 pfs, 2.8 tos

At age 21 (year 3), earl clarks numbers pace adjusted per 40:
16.5 points, 45.7% FG%, 10.1 boards, 3.8 assists, 1.6 blocks, 1.2 steals, 2.2 pfs, 3.8 tos

Tyrus scored more, at a radically higher percentage with two years less experience at two years younger in age. He rebounded almost 50% more often, had 3x as many blocks, and more steals while having less turnovers.

Now Tyrus hasn't developed well in the pros, but Clark was no where near Tyrus's league as a prospect.

Can we assume "others" means "not as highly rated players" or is "others" in reference to "other highly rated players"? Ah crap, I'm reading into this like a LOST episode while at the same time going quotation mark happy.

I like Blair's toughness and workmanship, but I can't say I see him being better than Paul Milsap, at best, Chuck Hayes at worst, though I may be goin a lil far with that one. He's 6-6 270 with no mid-range shot other than the FT line, doesn't finish well around the rim, and relies solely on his ability to over power people in the post, something that will not work in the bigger, more athletic NBA. He better get a solid 15ft shot if he wants to be a starter in this league.

Clark is pretty much Tyrus 2.0. His shot is better than Ty's right now, but he does not score around the rim as much as Ty. If they go for him it means Tyrus will be traded. I can't say who I'd want in this draft. Its a crapshoot other than Griffin. If we really trade up it should be to get Demar Derozan.

"Others" means unknown who else is there highly rated or not. It's not meant to imply any set of particular others.

Blair can probably learn a jumper, it's not that hard to do. I've heard he's already lost a lot of weight and is getting into great shape. He's supposedly a very high character guy and a hard worker. If you could get Paul Millsap at #16 then you should be counting your lucky stars, though I agree it's hard to imagine him being much better.

Blair's also not a bad finisher at the rim at all. The guy shot 60% from the field while putting up 11 attempts in 27 minutes. That's not all opportunity baskets. I agree he generally uses his size/strength which will be more difficult in the NBA, but he still has nice touch around the basket. He's throwing down almost no dunks, and is often maneuvering around 2-3 guys when throwing his at the rim layups.

For example, BJ Mullens wouldn't finish anywhere remotely near Blair's percentage on the same looks.

Clark is pretty much Tyrus 2.0. His shot is better than Ty's right now, but he does not score around the rim as much as Ty. If they go for him it means Tyrus will be traded. Clark would be like Tyrus if Tyrus was 1/10th as good in college and 2 years older. I've heard we're trying to trade Tyrus, but I wouldn't look at any draft pick as meaning someone else is leaving. No one who's available at #16 is good enough for that.

Interesting, I'm starting to get draft-excited slowly. I have a feeling that this year it's going to be a real fun draft. Starting with tonights lottery and then speculation can start to really heat up!

If the Bulls fail to workout (or attend a workout featuring) Danny Green, they are going to let a solid prospect slip right through their fingers.

Oh yeah, to get back on topic, Blair and Clark are fools gold prospects. Everybody is so excited about Millsap they're going to allow themselves to be fooled by Blair. Paul Millsap was a much more complete player when compared to DeJuan Blair. Blair is nothing more than a college power player that will not be able to overpower guys at the next level. I think he'll project even worst defensively. When it's all said and done, Blair will be a better version of Chuck Hayes.

When I watch Clark play I just don't get it. He's in no way shape or form a Odom type of player. Odom has one of the most fluid games of any forward in the NBA. Clark's game will never be at that level.

It looks like Paxson does wanna move up...... Blair would be a perfect pickup and once he learns the jumper IMO he can be a starter for the Bulls.

Clark is the right guy you want to mesh with Rose. Here is why:

# NBA ready body with tremendous length… muscular 6’9, 220lbs
# Match-up nightmare for opposing teams… Inside / Outside player - Very versatile with the ability to step out past the three point line, or post up smaller defenders.
# Gifted athlete – good vertical, long strides when he runs, gets out in transition.
# Solid rebounder - With a combination of knowing how to establish position, size, athleticism, and length.
# He’s able to play a point forward role in the half-court set– Using his size and length to see over the defense and set the offense at the top of the key.
# Capable ball handler that’s able to grab a rebound and start the break.
# Demonstrates great body control when he penetrates to the basket.
# Very fundamental passer - throws crisp passes.
# Soft hands
# Uses his incredible length to block shots, create deflections

He's more fluid than Tyrus Thomas too.

I wouldn't mind Clark at all but if we drafted him Tyrus would have to go IMO. I just wouldn't want to have Tyrus and Clark on the same team....

The PF guys I want are Blair, Johnson and Clark and the Guards I like are Derozan(won't be able to trade up that far for him) and Terrance Williams.

I wouldn't mind trading up for Johnson,Clark,Blair,Derozan,Williams
