The Bulls have reached agreement with Keith Bogans on a two-year contract.

The second season will be partially guaranteed.

Chicago is in the hunt to acquire Rudy Fernandez who is unhappy in Portland and on the trading block.

The move for Bogans reportedly does not preclude the Bulls from completing a deal for Fernandez.

As long as he is a 14th man, I could care less. He is a more than capable guy at the waaaaaay end of the bench. There is no way to know if we are going to get Rudy or not, but as long as this move doesn't take us out of the chase, I could care less.

Bogans started over half the year for the spurs, he is more than a 14th man. He will get some minutes, we have a lot of injury concerns on the wing.

Another decent signing. I can't complain about the Bulls' offseason, they've done the best they've could after not getting the big boys.

This has to be the most new Bulls since the 1999 season?

Bogans is a capable player, way better than your typical end of bench guy, I really like what we've done with our depth. For all the concerns about injury, even if say Deng and Boozer both went down we'd still have Rose/Brewer/Korver/Gibson/Noah with Watson/Bogans/Johnson/Thomas/Asik as a second unit. I think that's as good a team as we had last year.

Obviously injuries will always hurt, but I think we have the depth this year that can maintain a .500 pace even while key guys are out.
