Per Chris Mannix:Chicago is still interested in Denver guard J.R. Smith, who won't be dealt until after the Anthony situation is resolved. The Bulls have invested a lot of scouting hours in the Rockets' Courtney Lee, too, though a source...

I don't think it's worth giving up korver brewer and cj to get hamilton. He's really not that good. The salaries don't match unless we give up a lot to get him.

if hamilton is bought out, i wouldn't care if we got him. I don't think the piston's are going to buy him out of his huge contact.

Ill take Tyashaun Prince, but i dont like Rip Hamiltons contract, dont need that, c'mon. And I know that the Nets want someone else to get involved in that Anthony deal, lets do it. We need a scoring 2 Guard.

This! You're right. He's only a good pick-up to this team if he comes to the team AFTER the Detroit buy-out.

Paxson stated Friday he has no intention on messing with the team chemistry by trading a few players out. You gotta wonder if Rip just end up on the team soon. The roster has filled 13 of a possible 15. There is room for Rip.....after the buy-out.

If the Pistons bought out Hamilton. Hell yeah go for it. But please no trade! And I know the FO won't. Right now, I just don't see a trade happening by Thur. But more players will be said available and that's where you can see a fast trade. But I just don't see that happening.

I'm leaning toward they pick him up after the buy-out....if at all. I wouldn't mind seeing the team add him.

I agree, only if he's bought out. I don't give up anything for him or take on that contract.

I'm sure Rip would want to start so that gives the bulls the upper hand.

The only question now, is if the Bulls have won enough games to make the playoffs. Getting Hamilton at this point in his career might help us tank for that draft pick. /sarcasm, and yes. I think its THAT bad of an idea.

Idk if he would start or not (though all logic says he should, but then again all logic says that Bogans shouldn't be starting) but I agree with the sentiment of get him if he's bought out. I'm pretty sure FO isn't dumb enough to trade for him while he's still on that contract. If we got him I'm sure if we just make him do what Korver's been doing all year (since we've been trying to pretend Korver was Hamilton anyway with all those screens) he'll be quite successful here and have a pretty good role on this team. Then we can either start him or Brewer and save Bogans for an injury.

Im down for any of these guys, my thing is, you have to preach them that they can not be the main guy on this team. And more than likely not the 2nd or even the 3rd. But if u play as a team we can get that NBA Championship.

i don't think hamilton is a bad 4/5 option. He wasn't a 3pt shooter before this year. he's hit enough this year, that you wouldn't care. He's not a long term solution. i think he has 2 years left in the tank.

If hamilton think he's a 2nd option, i'd steer clear of the guy. I don't think he thinks of himself as a volume shooter this point in his career. He's going to get 8-12 shots a game. He'll probably be wide open like deng or bogans. If he can't hit some of those, he shouldn't be in the nba.

My only problem w/ adding a guy like Rip is he's not a significant upgrade over Browgers (see what I did there!!!) and kind of creates an even bigger log-jam of 2nd-tier SGs. I guess if he comes after the buy-out, fair enough...but I just don't believe he makes us significantly better than we are now. One thing it might do though is cause less minutes for Deng/more minutes for Korver...and Deng is gonna need some rest at some point.

I don't like Rip's contract. Won't that interfere with future plans, like resigning key players?
