Take it with a grain of salt, but speaking to one of my Bulls sources, I've heard the team is unlikely to exit this Thursday's draft with whomever is drafted at 28 and 30. They're investigating multiple trade scenarios...

decent read...but I don't see us having the means of trading for a highly improved player anyway.

I figure that they will try though...I wouldn't be surprised if the Bulls are a part of pretty big rumors between now and Thursday...

Doug has to put something out everyday he told me, so he has to state the obvious sometimes.

let 'em fly.

Maybe if we trade Boozer, Deng and our next 14 first round picks to miami for lebum than first timer could go ahead and have his 2 days where he said, "What do you all have to say about lebron now!?!?!?!?" and then quit telling us we're dumb b/c we disagree w/ him.

I have had my doubts that we'd hit a homerun looking for a SG anyway, but I wouldn't be shocked if they traded the picks for Courtney Lee or something. Not the best move, but it inches us a bit closer...

Well, I think they are going to trade everyone except for Rose to Orlando for the savior, Dwight Howard, then we will fill the roster will D-League guys and win the title next year.

Dwight Howard is a flat out more dominant player than Derrick Rose. Any team who has him is going to be in the upper echelon of NBA teams.

The Cavs won 66 games a couple of years ago and it is clear as day that they weren't ready for a championship.

The Bulls are essentially the new Cavs right now. They need to do something to make them a playoff-ready team. The regular season doesn't matter nearly as much.

The Bulls either need Dwight Howard or to lose Carlos Boozer and gain a lot of high draft picks. I don't see how anything else could get them a championship in the near future, or we can all look forward to getting bounced by Miami for years to come.

Howard and a ton of shooters, couldn't get it done. Howard plus anybody on the team couldn't get it done. So he's supposed to come here with a then depleted roster, and we are automatically going to win it all?

Really?

Wow. If that's all we need, then we are in worse shape than I thought.

How can a team that made the ECF not be playoff ready?

You guys are just obsessed over Howard for some reason. We don't NEED him, you guys just WANT him. Those are two different things.

I love Howard.. but its gonna be a hard trade to get him here..

Its better to strengthen up a few other spots and go for it again.

Howard never played with an all-star PG like Rose. Howard comes here, the Bulls have the best PG and C in the NBA. Miami has the best SG and SF in the NBA. Bosh and Boozer would be a wash. It helps, but the Bulls can still round out their team throughout free agency.

The Bulls have assets on their bench they can keep and they also have draft picks going forward. Miami is very limited going forward, hell the Bulls have Miami's first round pick this season.

Yes, we WANT Howard and don't NEED him, but when you have a chance to pair the best PG in the league with the best C in the league, you have to at least try. Of course if we trade half our team away for Howard it's not worth it, but if we can somehow pull off trading Noah and Boozer or Noah and Deng, then you pull the trigger. Obviously filling the SG hole is more of a need than upgrading at C, but also remember that PG and C are the Heat's weakest positions. If we got Howard for a couple players then swung a deal for Courtney Lee, I think we could beat Miami.

Definitely agree...and who says if you trade Deng and Noah, you have Howard and Rose with Boozer as your 3rd guy...who says that is not a team? Do they still need a perimeter guy? Yes...but you will still have Taj, Asik, Brewer, Korver and 2 guys that are the best at their position...that is not a crappy team at all...nor do they take a step back in my opinion...

Unless the CBA screws us into not being able to sign anyone or take on too much salary so we can't extend Rose. But yeah, other than that it should be fun. xD

I could definitely seeing the Bulls being active. Us as an organization always try to at least improve the team one way or another even if it is a long shot for us to get a certain player.

And that is the X-factor. We don't know what the new CBA is going to be, so all of this Howard talk is a moot point at best.

We have to know where the Bulls stand in terms of the CBA before we go trading half the team for anybody.

I'm not in favor of trading away half the team anyway. I can see maybe 4 guys and picks for Howard and Hedo, but I'm pretty sure FO isn't willing to gut the team for Howard and a bad contract.
