Heres a semi rant.

I'm tired of watching the Bulls stand pat and do nothing, whether its in the draft or in free agency. Loved the pick up of Marquis Teague but when D Rose comes back hes gonna be a back up PG. However last year we draft a guy who wasn't supposed to be a first rd pick, and made zero impact on the team. Thats not a slam on him, he just NEVER played. I dont even remember free agency last year? What did we do sign Rip Hamilton (Out most of the year) and John Lucas III (3rd string PG). Everyone hates on the Heat but they went out, got an Eastern Conference Championship in their first year, and an NBA Championship in their second year. The Bulls do nothing to me that will lead me believe that all we will be able to accomplish is an Eastern Conference Finals appearance. Its time for the Bulls to make moves and more importantly IMPACT MOVES! Beasley, Ray Allen, Rudy ***, Andre Igudola, idc make something happen, get the NBA Championship back to Chicago!!!

The phones have been ringing, the calls are being made. There is only so much you can do.

When you see 30 teams in rumors, and only 1/4 that make moves, it shows you how reserved every team is, and/or stuck with their contract situations.

I feel the problem is one, we are afraid to just make a big trade. And two, that we are afraid to over spend on a FA.

Well, aside from the regular season meaning nothing. We were the #1 team last season. There aren't too many areas that we can make a trade, and actually get a blue-chip upgrade. We are in a pretty good position right now, even if we do "stand pat", opposed to many seasons where we did stand pat, and none of it helped, or the many seasons where we made big trades, and kept ourselves in NBA purgatory.

Yeah, the Bulls seem more trigger shy than some other teams out there. Dallas is the complete opposite.

And two, that we are afraid to over spend on a FA.

I think that's most teams. No one wants to overpay a FA... depending on who it is.

Problem right now is I think that at best we are Eastern Conference Finals appearance team. We are not good enough to beat the Heat in a 7 game series. The Pacers are getting very good. if Dwight joins Brooklyn they will be dangerous. The 76ers are good. Getting a 1 2 or 3 seed is cool but if ur not winning it all, or even getting to the Finals...who cares?

Championship Team

Two player they need to sign. Ray Allen and Delonte West.

The bulls can drop Watson's,Brewer's and KK's contract and use the full MLE on Ray Allen. A Two-year $10M guaranteed contract wouldn't be a bad one for someone like Ray Allen. Unlike Hinrich, who would demand a long contract to secure himself, the Bulls can afford to sign Ray Allen short term as he has about two years remaining in his career(going 36 this July). By 2014, Deng/Hamilton/Allen salaries would be off the books. They can amnesty Boozer, bring in Nikola Mirotic, and attack the 2014 free agency. Signing Ray Allen to a two-year contract won't affect their "plan for the future."

They can then sign Delonte West to cover up the starting PG spot until D.Rose recovers.

With Injuries:

S: West/Allen/Hamilton/Boozer/Noah
B: Teague/no need/Butler/Gibson/Asik

Rotation in PG/SG/SF could either be West/Allen/Hamilton, Teague/West/Butler, Teague/Allen/Butler, West/Hamilton/Butler, West/Allen/Butler or Teague/Allen/Butler. IT'S PRETTY FLEXIBLE!

Note: If Deng won't undergo surgery, pluging him in would make the roster very deep. But I see the bulls forcing him to take the surgery as they can't risk the injury reoccuring in the playoffs.

After injuries:

The mayhem begins!

S: D.Rose/Allen/Deng/Boozer/Noah
B: West/Hamilton/Butler/Gibson/Asik

The roster would give the Heat/Thunder the scare of their life.

Note: The bulls can go long with D.Rose/Hamilton/Deng/Gibson/Asik or can spread the floor with D.Rose/Allen/Hamilton/Deng/Noah, with the latter matching Miami's small line-up of having Bron at PF.

Having Ray Allen in bulls uniform pretty much solidify their championship hunt, even though D.Rose is recovering from injury. I wouldn't go for Hinrich if I can put up a team like this.

I'm not so sure. Lucas did start 2 games last season. With our PG depth, one ankle somewhere, and Teague could start.
