seems fair. This is a good way that we will know how serious he is about winning and actually accepting the role off the bench.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Fire
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Arizona Wildcats
Only way to test his willingness to come off the bench

I can't imagine the Bulls getting Fernandez with giving up Gibson...

I want Fernandez more than McGrady, too. But you have to admit that T-Mac has more up-side... we all know that his talents are greater. The question is whether or not his body will be able to do it. My guess would be not as well as Rudy.

But if I had to choose between having
(A) Taj and T-Mac
or (B) Rudy and NO Taj

I choose (A)...

It'd be great if we could pull the old switcheroo. Sign T-Mac then throw him into a rudy deal.

I would still make that Rudy trade as well.

I'm glad the Bulls will only offering a non-guaranteed contract. T-Mac is not worth any kind of commitment until he proves otherwise.

I think TMAC would be okay off the bench, he isn't THAT bad.

I think T Mac at this point is pretty much a depth guy and not really going to drastically affect the team. He'll come in and make some 3 point shots or what not in relief on the wing.

I like Taj myself and i'm hoping we can send Johnson and maybe our 1st rounder instead of the Bobcats, if not then t-mac better just suit up and prove himself again. I rather keep the Bobcat 1st rounder just in case a bigger name is rumored to be moved

You actually didn't talk like a geek this time? Way to throw away the outcast style, CB!

And T-Mac signing would be better, in my opinion. I don't want to give up anyone we have now for a bench player.

T Mac is like Shaq or Iverson....either he makes the team worse or really is neutral and doesnt make much of a different wins wise

Yeah exactly. Portland wants Gibson, whom by himself is better than Fernandez, AND they want a first round draft pick too.

T-Mac, Gibson, and an extra first round pick >>> Fernandez.

I don't see how there's even a discussion considering the ridiculous demands Portland are making.

I would also much rather just add Roger Mason if everyone really hates the idea of getting T-Mac that much, rather than unload all that stuff for Fernandez who sucked last year. Fernandez is a lesser defender, inferior shooter, and more injury prone than Mason. Why bother?

Exactly. Why unload something vital that can be used to get something better? Don't waste your best bait on mediocre fish.

Between about the postive/negative impact T-Mac would bring.....

IF he joins & IF he produces well I will of course say postive. So that's what I went with..
