Derrick Rose looked like he might have been hurt after being thrown to the ground on four separate times. He put up an MVP like performance, simply destroying the Magic all game long. Rose scored 39 points on just 17...

not worth it. sit the starters for the final 2 games. The lakers aren't catching us, and the spurs aren't coming out of the west.

I'm a supporter of keeping young players warm, and resting playoff savy vets.

Thibs did the right thing. Just because we don't watch the workouts and practices, doesn't mean Rose wouldn't have beaten himself up anyways. He wants to play hard, therefore he plays hard, there is no button on any of these player's backs that lets a coach change the level of passion within somewhat meaningless games.

I'm sorry but I found this article is rather ridiculous. Is winning against a potential 2nd round opponent on their home floor worth it? Of course it's worth it! No game is meaningless even if playoff positioning is clinched. And that's the mentality of the star, the coach, & the entire team. How does anyone think we are even in this position without that workman-like approach? Rose is fine. He's pound for pound, the toughest player at his position. Of course my heart skips alil bit when he goes down, but he always gets back up. And resting players? We play 10 players every game! What other team in the NBA even does that?

And Noah is not in the doghouse. C'mon, stop trying to stir up something that isn't there. He's not 100%. He's recovering from a sprained ankle & they are limiting his minutes so he can be fully healthy come next Saturday. End of story.

I duno, i'm terrified of loosing one of our guys for the playoffs. I was talkign to mark on facebook about this. Why not sit the starters for the final two games? Is beating pheonix really going to bolster moral and the alpha dog attitude? I just can't believe that to be true. I think the players could buy into a philosophy of sacrificing a game in order to get closer to our goal, the championship. The chance of an injury is a distinct possibility with deng, boozer, and noah; and with nothing left to fight for, why take the chance?

Derrick Rose is as tough as nails. As long as he doesn't pull as Shaun Livingston, he will be just fine.

until the seasons over, every game is important, only 1 game behind San Anton, with each team having 2 to play. its still possible to catch spurs

I agree with Pink more than anybody else on this one. I don't think the Spurs will come out of the west and the Bulls have homecourt against everybody else. That should be enough...you lose Rose...forget it...

I say let the players play, this discussion goes as well as it does in the NFL over resting starters.

And let me ask you this. Did Michael Jordan ever rest?

I like that they've kept their foot on the gas but let's rest the starters for the final two. The risk of losing Rose is greater than the reward of surpassing the Spurs.

Comparing anyone or any team to MJ or his team's is not a great comparison. When talking about the GOAT, there is no comparison :)

This Doug guy stinks.

I don't mind them playing the starters but I do have a problem with Rose going as hard as he did. Imagine if he did get hurt. Tell me your hearts didn't drop when he was laying on the floor in pain.

One person who I felt shouldn't have played at all is Jo. He's not healthy. Idk if theyre trying to force the chemistry issue with him and Los but I didn't think it was worth delaying his recuperation. It would have been a good time to get Asik extra PT against guys he could very well be asked to play against in a couple weeks.

Yeah, Noah has no business playing right now. His hands are usually gold but balls are flying through his fingers like crazy... The same with Boozer too. I think a combination of finger and ankle injuries have taken it's toll on both of those guys when it comes to points in the paint and offensive rebounds.

That's a testamant to how good Rose is. Those two guys are not 100% yet Rose has carried this team to the best record in the NBA since the All-star break. His assists are down because of it but his scoring and aggressiveness is way up.

Yeah Rami, boozers hands have looked awful for many weeks now and I just don't get it. He's much much better than what we've seen recently and it's aggravating
