The Bulls have the worst record in the NBA in overtime (2-7) by a large margin. There are 6 teams with 4 losses.

Here are some more interesting facts about our beloved team:

They are 3-8 in games decided by 3 or less points. In the Eastern Conference, only Indiana has more losses in those games.

They have 20 wins against teams over .500. In the Eastern Conference, only Boston, Cleveland, and Orlando have more wins against over .500 teams.

Basically Vinny can't draw up plays. So one of two things should happen: either he has b]Bickerstaff, or Del Harris or just let the team play and make them have something happen. If you can't draw up play, then don't let defense get set up

I don't think it's just the play calling, but I do think that's a factor.

The whole team just seems to collapse under success. We play well when we're not thinking, but as soon as we have to protect a lead we often struggle. Our end game execution when the game slows down is terrible.

Our best play is when we're going really hard and fast, but you tend to stop doing that when trying to protect a lead at the end of a game.

Strategically, slowing the game down is probably the right decision, but execution wise it's not what our team does well so we struggle. The other option is to keep running fast and dangerous, but that's often not a good idea because you give teams more chances to get back in the game if you don't execute.

I think our strengths make it hard to finish games. It's like a football team with no running game and a bad defense trying to protect a 3 point lead with 6 minutes left.

Between the Bears late game chokes and the Bulls late game collapses I don't think I can handle this anymore :D

Doug thats good point we don't really have great halfcourt player. Down the stretch this is why you need that superstar and we won't win these tight end of game situations until we get Chris Bosh, or Amare Stoudamire etc...

Hopefully that's Derrick Rose in a year or two.

In a lot of ways, it's not that crucial now. In the long run, this season won't mean anything special to us. It will just be a stepping stone towards the future. As long as Rose becomes that guy the franchise will be in good shape.

I have no doubt Rose will be that guy - I think as soon as next year.

This year he has already shown he has the ability to take over games and carry the team but he hasn't made a game winning shot yet but it will happen and once that happens, his confidence will rise and there will be no stopping.

I think once he starts getting calls and improves his jumper enough (including 3pt shot), it will really open up his games even more and teams will have big time trouble if the game is close, to stop Rose.

He is taking his lumps right now but this will make him a better player in the long run.

Some of those OT losses were bad too. The one against Minnesota, Kevin Love just dominated. The Dallas game where Kidd hit the game-tying three. Brutal.

But hopefully we can get Amare or Bosh, and then with the improvement of Rose, this team will start winning those games. And also start beating bad teams on the road like Indy.

Little off topic here, but what about hiring Fratello as assistant coach. He stated recently he wanted to get back in

the problem with that is fratello's offense of choice has one of the slowest paces ever. we don't want d rose to slow down.

Drawing up plays isn't easy. I'm not making excuses for Vinny, but like anything else when it comes to rookie coaches it's a learning curve. I think he might well get better at it as time goes on. That said some of his late game strategies with timeouts and some of the plays he drew up were really inexcusable. he should let one of his assistants draw up the last play of the game in the playoffs, they have waaaay more experience with it.

I know drawing plays up aren't easy, but I can draw up betters plays. You should use the inbounder once in awhile

I don't think it's a matter of drawing up plays per se, I think we just have poor personnel for a half court game when you need a score.

Welcome to Philadelphia! (videos)

Gonna post a bunch of videos from the game here, might take a day or two to get it all done. Pretty exhausted now and gonna go to bed soon. I'll start you out with my favorite.......and not just because of the midway camera pan to boobies halfway through :)
