This early a number of NBA experts and fans picked the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics to slug it out for supremacy in the National Basketball Association (NBA) Eastern Conference. The NBA buffs reasoned that the Heat with its star studded line-up and Celtics with its veteran laden roster will fight it out for supremacy in the NBA Eastern Conference. Newly hired Chicago Bulls coach and former Celtics assistant coach Tom Thibodeau is not happy with the report saying his team will surprise both Heat and Celtics once the new season of the NBA officially opens.

Thibodeau said his team might not have a roster of big-named NBA players but they will compete hard once the new NBA season ushers in.
He said the team is currently beefing up its roster to be competitive in the next NBA season and possibly take the crown away from the Los Angeles Lakers. During the off-season the Bulls was able to secure former Utah Jazz star power-forward Carlos Boozer alongside his teammates sharpshooter Kyle Korver and high-flying guard Ronnie Brewer.

The Bulls also has rising point-guard Derek Rose and reliable power-forward Joachim Noah on its line-up in the next NBA season. He is optimistic that his team is solid enough to compete against the other NBA teams who also had strengthened its line-up for the next NBA season. The first-time coach said he will do his best to carry the Bulls to the NBA playoffs and hopefully compete for the NBA championship this year.
The way each NBA team is preparing the forthcoming season of the NBA is getting more exciting for professional basketball fans around the world.

Every big team has a few big names now, it'll really come down to who has better synergy and who wants it more.

I think the top 6 in the East goes:

1. Miami (55-ish wins)
2. Orlando (50+)
3. Chicago (50-ish)
4. Boston (under 50)
5. Atlanta (under 50)
6. Milwaukee (under 50)

If all these teams are at 100%, I say Chicago will get out of the first round and lose to Orlando in a tough battle in the Semi's. If Chicago faces a healthy Boston, I'd definitely favor Boston in that series, as well.

Top six teams mean nothing since division winners get one of the top three seeds in the playoffs. As I said in another thread the best bet for the Bulls is to get the #3 seed. With Miami having the #1 and Boston the #2. Orlando having the #4.

You want to play a tired Boston team obviously, and hope that Orlando and Miami beat each other up. That way, maybe, maybe you can surprise somebody in the conference finals. Again, that is all contingent on everything falling the Bulls way.

They changed that rule after like 1 year. A division winner is guaranteed a top 4-seed. Not a top 3 seed...

I think we can compete. Not sure how many wins we will get. I'm sure we'll get pass 50 though. I hate the fact that writers are hyping up teams with big names. Sure they played together before, but they haven't played 82+ games together. Let the season start first before we put Miami in the front.
