Didn't see one of these.

Anyway, we recently had a discussion about trading Boozer for Bargnani. This is something I would support.

I'd also like to throw out the idea of a trade with the Lakers for Gasol. It probably won't happen since he might be a trade chip for Howard as well as possibly having entrenched himself in the mix as a Laker. However, Gasol is one who, allegedly, taken the idea of being traded extremely hard. This could serve as an opportunity for a trade involving Gasol and Boozer.

Thoughts? Any trade ideas?

FYI, the trade machine is down.

If Boozer is as bad as everyone says(not saying he's not) there is no way they would want him and his fatass contract for Gasol... Maybe if Boozer was expiring they would do it

Nothing I mentioned in my initial post was meant to imply that it would be a 1 for 1 trade. In the case of Gasol, I actually think we would have to add more salary...but the trade machine is down, so I didn't go through the effort of trying to pin down more aspects of a deal of which, Boozer and Gasol would be the main pieces.

I'll also say that the league is rampant with bad contracts. If the Wiz could trade Arenas, anything can happen. The other thing is, the league seems like it's becoming more and more like baseball where there are a handful of teams (namely ones in big markets), that are becoming FA destinations. This leaves a lot of also ran franchises. Many of them would tell themselves that they'd rather rebuild but it just takes one of those teams where the coach and/or GM are fighting for their jobs.

I'll try this on the trade machine when it's up and running.

But this is my idea.

Boozer to the Nets. Why? the Nets were interested in signing Boozer last off-season, but we got him. Now they have Deron williams, who is familiar with Boozer because they played together in Utah. If the Newts want to keep Williams, they can bring in Boozer and pair him up with Lopez when he comes back.

what would we get in return? Kris Humphries and his 1 year 9 million dollar deal, and we can try getting one of their guards...

Maybe we can throw in Korver as well.

This would clear a lot of cap space in the future for the Bulls because we'd be getting rid of Boozer's terrible contract.

humphries isn't a great player, but he isn't bad either. we can start Taj at PF and have Kris come off the bench. And like I said, maybe we can get one of their guards who can create their own shots.

only two i would see as attractive are anthony morrow and marshon brooks...

and i think the nets would be hesitant to quickly trade away a young promising rookie

i'd go for morrow...he has great length and great shooting ability as a SG...can hit the 3...really fills in korvers role and then some

or you could go with the anti-lebron..deshawn stevenson

yeah Brooks would be a long shot.

My deal is more centered around shedding future salary while still having a team that would be able to compete for the title this season.

it could be something like Boozer + Korver + 1 first round pick for Kris and Morrow.

that deal saves the Bulls about 30-35 million dollars in the future and we'll still be a top 3 team in the East this season

Marshon Brooks is going to be a straight up stud. He already is playing extremely well.

ya shedding boozer's salary is big...its a good trade..

but i dont see why a first round pick needs to be included...i think that would be more of a negotiable incentive

I could see a team hesitant to take back Boozer's contract if he were to be traded.. so a first round pick could just sweeten the deal a little.

but if a team like the Nets were okay with Boozer's contract.. then I'd be more than happy with keeping the pick hahah

The idea of getting Tim Duncan and his $21 Million Dollar expiring for some combination of Boozer, Korver/Brewer and Asik/Butler/Watson, and maybe a 1st would be an interesting move. I know the chances would be next to none but it's fun to think about. I think he'd help us beat the Heat this year and then we'd have money in the offseason to get our PF right this time.

WTF is wrong with you guys.
We just dismantled Howards Magic and it appears we could be headed to the best record again..
I think Pax should just leeave it alone and not make any trades..there is no need...
We are the best team n the league as is.
All Pax has to do is sign a third string bigguy to backup Noah and Asik...and that's it.
PAX SHOULD ONLY MAKE MOVES THAT DON'T DISMANTLE OUR CORE.
Or sign JRSmith in March to just add to the depth we already have.......
