Surprisingly Bulls looking good against the Cavs. Lebron does not have a good game so far.

Gibson is playing very good tonight.

I think the reason we are behind is Pargo. I can´t believe what kind of shots he takes.

At least Kirk's being a bit more aggressive today.

We're doing a decent job but you can't help but feel the Cavs are just cruising and will put the foot down if we get too close.

As crazy as it sounds, James Johnson might have outplayed LeBron so far this game.

Oh well it was a good game until LeBron decided the Cavs better get the win.

As bad as Pargo was tonight, Vinny continues to surpise me on how stupid he can be. Alexander makes a nice play on Lebron the gets yank. Yet Pargo, and Murray get free reign because their "veterans." Law is playing like your best player (second best tonight) and in the 4th was driving down the lane and was finding Hakeem and Richards for easy looks. Yet Vinny decides to put in Murray for the remaining stretch run where he bricks every shot down the stretch

Yeah Law only playing 10 minutes is just crazy. Murray and Pargo have both been awful so why the guy can't get any playing time even after showing what he can do I can't understand.

BTW clonetrooper was one game late on his prediction of Kirk having a horrible shooting night and missing all his threes. At least he tried to take some shots this game, and he started out decently, but missed his last 8 and pretty much sucked the second half. Brad Miller had an awful game again too. Pretty sucky when you have a bunch of injuries and it's the rookies who put their hands up, not the vets.

Yet Vinny blames them for the loss

Umm...one game early? I'll just say Kirk Hinrich will suck for the rest of the year, finishing shooting under 40% from the field and under 35% from 3. I'll look like a genius. :p

Hinrich has missed his last 12 3-point attempts. He hasn't made 1 in the past 3 games. Kirk Hinrich was an obmination tonight. He shot 5-18, 0-7 from the 3 point line. Here are some facts you won't hear from his fans in the media:

a. Kirk's averaged 34.8 minutes per game this month, and over the course of 8 games played, he has a total of 4 FTA, and he's made 2. Anyone who saw his pathetic layup attempt tonight, allowing LeBron to block his shot, should understand why he doesn't get to the line. You need to go up strong. He's goes up like George Michael. To put this stat in perspective, Law has 7 FTA...in one game against the Mavs.
b. He's shooting 18% from the 3-point line for the month of March.
c. All for just under 10 million.

But hey, he so freaking feisty.

What's gotten to me is that Kirk had been playing better up until the injuries started. He was averaging 14 a game in the 9 games before this losing streak, during this streak he's down to 9 a game. How is that even possible given all the other scoring we've lost? It's a real disappointment because if we'd somehow managed to scratch a win or two during this streak we'd still be in with a real shot at the playoffs.

Unfortunately Kirk's basically like Thabo at this point in his career I think: a guy you play for defensive purposes and can't rely on any offense from. Of course Thabo is nice value at 3 million a year, you can't say the same for Kirk.

But because of that we're stuck with him for another year until he's an expiring. The good news is because he'll soon be an expiring we can stop worrying about his trade value and play whoever we like ahead of him. I hope we draft a SG and give him the Taj treatment of throwing him in the deep end and hoping he plays through it and develops.

BTW, I heard the reason that Law didn't play more minutes was Hinrich was worried what Fred would say if Law scored 20 against the best team in the league and begged Vinny not to play him. ;)

 That was a classic Shakes. But unfortunately, it's true:

Last time a player scored 20 or more against a winning team:

Acie Law. Last Wed against the Mavs
James Johnson. Early March 2010.
Kirk Hinrich. January 2008.

Ouch.

League leader in feistiness and thrust...and apparently 12th in the league in assist to turnover ratio  But he probably leads the league in missed shots too so he's still the worst player ever.

At the halfway point of the season, his shooting percentages were 38, 35, 69. Deng and Rose had played in every game up until that point. So had Noah. He's been a pile of suck all year.

I never said that. Pargo is on this team, and he's clearly the worst player ever. I'd be fine with Kirk if he was the 8th man off the bench, made 2 million per year, and drones and media treated him appropriately, like the below-average player he has been this year. Far too many fans were eager to send Salmons away instead of the Captain, and I still have no idea why. And I don't want to hear any more b.s. about how we can go into next season with him as the starting shooting guard if we get Bosh. He needs to be traded or he needs to come off the bench.

Just out of curiosity, if Hinrich had those same absolutely horrible shooting averages from the halfway point of the year BUT was more clutch than like Ray Allen or Ben Gordon or something ridiculous like that (which could never happen, but this is all hypothetical) would you like him?

I didn't say he wasn't shooting poorly early in the season, I said he looked like he'd picked it up (he was 44,40,89 in Feb) but he hasn't managed to maintain it when we really needed someone to step up.

Yeah the Thabo comparison is probably a bit harsh because Hinrich can run the point decently well. Hinrich would be better on a team where he plays the point, but the way he's shot here has cost him his chance of being traded to such a team.
