For all of you who are watching the game. Give your thoughts here :)

Game looks good so far. That James Johnson putback slam was sick!

Too bad Rose is injured. :(

I see why everryone was talking about keeping Byars. Also I think Taj Gibson may be Boozer light He just might be the steal of the draft

Pargo is taking too many wild shots. Time to get Hinrich back into the game!

Haha what a finish by Johnson. I thought this would be a stupid loss but a game is not finished until the buzzer sounds :)

Both rookies had a great game.

And Noah had 6 blocks. That´s amazing!

Btw. I think the Bulls love to beat the Jazz with a buzzer beater.

Jordan did it 2 times I think, Big shot Larry did it last year and now Johnson. Nice :)

I saw the game on the feed that wasn't so great and I was at work so I was just being careful - flipping between game and other screens.

From what I saw:

The VERY Good:
-----------------------

Deng and Hinrich - For Deng, it was a home-coming and he really played hard and played so well. I hope it's not just 1 game coz it was his home coming, I hope to see the same Deng ALL YEAR LONG. Hinrich was pretty darn good running the team and he was really on fire but only took 4 (FOUR) shots??? This is one of those times that I was hoping that he would shoot more. I also hope this is not one of those 1 out of 4 good games that Hinrich usually has. Hopefully he plays & shoots good throughout the year.

Solid:
------------

(Rooks) JJ/Gibson/Byars: JJ finally found his niche' and played well and had a GAME WINNER. JJ really reminds me of young Paul Pierce (you heard it here first ;) ) He has some good moves that young pierce had. I don't know every time I see him, I see Pierce in him. Gibson had a very solid game with blocks/rebounds/and was really aggressive. He got some rookie calls and got called for some offensive fouls which is Turnovers basically. Byars also played solid. All 3 had their mishaps but for a young rooks, they played very solid.

I should put Miller and first half Pargo here as well. They played solid.

Meh/Bad:
---------

Noah/2nd half Pargo/Hunter: Noah with ONLY 3 rebounds and still can't finish underneath, I hope that we don't see the same early last season noah this year again where he will give us 10+ rebounds games every 1 out of 4/5 games. Did like his blocks though but other than that everything was just meh. 2nd half Pargo was really cold/uninterested/and was just bad - he is meh only coz he had a good 1st half. Hunter: I hope he just doesn't play 1 min in the reg. season.

Does this picture look a lil funny to anyone other than myself? they both look very in sync

Now onto the game

Team: I felt the team played with alot of hustle and energy, though the defense rotations werent perfect was good to see the effort.

Luol looked better than 06-07 Luol. I hope this isn't just a one off. He looked more aggressive. He looks faster & stronger. Good to see those post moves and his shot going in (a 3pt'r!!!!!)

Kirk was good all around, perhaps not great at pg but did alot of little things and shot well.

Taj & James look like great draft picks at the moment. Johnson of course has alot more potential it was freaky to see how fast he was despite his size, as well as his ball handling and passing skills. Seeing both of them made me not fear losing Thomas, or Thomas not playing where we need him to (close to the rim and box out Tyrus!)

Pargo did what he does, some of his passes were off but he could handle the ball at least.

Derrick Byers to me is a keeper on a min salary. I love his energy and hustle, and despite him choking on the 2 free throws I think he's worth giving a shot. He might be handy if we get injuries to our backcourt.

Noah hmmm towards the end his contesting of shots was good, plus i liked his ability to put the ball to the floor. However he dropped a few good passes, didnt rebound well enough and still looked like he got outplayed on the strength end against some of the Jazz front court. Those crap passes didnt help either.

Chris Richards grabbed a few boards thats about it i think he'll be cut very soon

He does not look better than he did then...not at all...he is improving but that was the apex of his career and I don't think Luol is back to that point yet...

luol looks better when kirk is the pg. Maybe kirk knows where to find luol? Maybe kirk is a better pg(at this point in roses career. i do think rose has a higher ceiling than kirk, but this is only his second year) ? i dont know. the offense ran pretty smoothly while kirk was on the floor.

There is nothing to talk about there...Rose is the starting pg...having Hinrich here will help Rose learn more but there will be no consideration of Hinrich in any other role.

Here is how you should look at it. Hinrich's game is to contort his abilities offensively around the skills of the players on the floor. That is why he is still here. His versatility was unmatched by anyone on the team on either side of the floor.

But Rose is a potential superstar. It is only his job to get better, to try his damnedest to perfect his game, because he is capable of doing so. It is the job of everyone else on the team to contort their abilities as necessary around his potential and more than likely impending greatness.

I don't think he is back at that point I didnt mean to come across that way. I just felt he looked better and moved better than he did then at least in this game and I hope its not just a one off

Then again maybe its been so long since I've seen 06-07 Deng that I forgot how fast he used to move. But from memory he looked better in this game

Yes, Deng did look better but you have to remember that he was just trying to impress his home crowd. Hopefully it wasn't just 1 game. I hope he plays like this the entire year.

Even if I see the Deng of 2007-08 season, I would still be happy. As long as he stays healthy.
