07:11 AM ET 05.02 | The Chicago Bulls have prepared for the bounty of the coming free agent season by making enough cap room to sign a star player to a max contract. Maybe the Bulls will snag Dwayne Wade, maybe Chris Bosh. But Chicago doesn't appear to be satisfied with just one max player, instead they may try to clear enough cap space to sign two. Doing so would require a sign-and-trade deal for a top-flight player which is likely to send Kurt Hinrich, Luol Deng, or both packing.

No, that's the realistic side of you. People seem to forget that it is entirely possible that all of the superstars go to teams not named the Bulls, or even re-up with their current teams. This would leave the Bulls in a horrible spot (though not necessarily as bad a spot as say, the Knicks would be in).

The Bulls would still be a good team and could add players to help them improve. If they cant get James, Wade, Bosh, Stoudamire, theyre better off getting quality and depth rather than throwing all their resources at 2 players.

If the Bulls don't get a 2nd max contract...they more than likely still get a top tier FA (who isn't a max contract) and will have cap available next season when another FA class (not as good as 2010, but still pretty darn good) comes out...

2011: Keep in mind Melo, JR Smith, David West, Tayshaun Prince, Nene, Caron Butler, Mo Williams, Boris Diaw, Jamal Crawford are all unrestricted, and if we don't get 2 max contracts, we will have good amount of money to play with....
