I think coach thibs biggest weakness as a coach is not playing his rookies. I wish he would give butler more playing time.

I'd like to see Butler play more too.
He's a good defender.. something that can really come in handy against Wade and LeBron. Especially if we rotated Brewer, Deng and Butler on LBJ the way Dallas rotated Kidd, marion and other guys on LBJ.
Butler's offense needs a little work.. but that's why he should be getting some minutes now. So he can learn.

Butler's really solid. I hope Thibs can see how playing him would be helpful for the sole fact that it gets Deng's minutes way down. I know Thibs loves Deng and what he can do, but he plays WAY too many minutes.

I think a lack of pre-season has a lot more to do w/ his lack of playing time than anything else. He'll get his minutes as the season progresses.

Rasual sucks he has no talent outside of shooting. He cant defend he cant pass he cant rebound. Caron you guys couldn't afford. Jimmy shouldnt be playing over Ronnie Brewer IMO. If I was coach he might play over Korver and take some of Deng's PT because you guys really over use him. But Tibs likes having a short rotation and there is nothing wrong with that if you are a title contender.

Thibs had one rookie, other than Butler since he has been a head coach. That was Asik.

As time progresses, Jimmy is going to get more playing time. His defense, attitude and willingness to develop will earn that for him. Besides, you have to imagine that with the condensed season and all of these back to back games, guys are going to get little injuries along the way or need a night off. Look what happened with CJ Watson and JLIII.

I remember when people were clamoring to see more of James Johnson...just let things play out...and no, Butler shouldn't replace Korver, because he isn't as good. Thibs knows what he is doing...

I would rather get Butler some minutes now, ans worry about playing Korver later in the season/playoffs. We know who Kyle Korver is and what he does. He's a 3 pt. specialist, and an overpaid one at that.
I think it's important for Thibodeau to develop younger players early, and weed out the James Johnson's of the world.

I think its important to put your best players on the floor and win. You increase your chances of winning a title if you have homecourt. The Bulls have to keep pace with Miami...we just don't have the time to experiment.
Plus, cream rises to the top. Butler will see time, injuries and fatigue will have a lot of say in that.

As much as I love Korver for his shooting but he is by far the easiest player to defend in the NBA. He just can´t dribble the basketball. Plus he can´t play good defense.
What I´ve seen from Jimmy, he can do both!
What makes Korver important is his spacing for Derrick. Otherwise Jimmy is a better player than Kyle! IMO.

Butler will get more playing time as time goes on and if Korver is looking like crap, well then Butler can earn some minutes. I remember Asik not getting much playing time in the beginning either and down the stretch towards the end of the year he was getting quite a bit playing time.

I have seen nothing to suggest Butler is a better player than Korver. Butler played in garbage time and the preseason, that is it. Korver is a proven commodity.

I think Butler should be getting a little more playing time as well, but if I remember right Asik didnt get many minutes in the first part of the season. He should get more time as the season goes on *fingers crossed* cause he should be able to offer something either on offense or defense come the playoffs. Best case scenario he can offer a little of both. The biggest thing he can offer right now though is some rest for Deng cause if Deng gets hurt we are in big, big trouble.
