TNT's Chris Webber joined the show to talk about LeBron James' future and the NBA playoffs.

Webber doesn't think Phil Jackson or LeBron James is going to Chicago. "I just remember Chicago for screwing Phil Jackson over ... it would be amazing to me if he went back there," Webber said.

Webber also doesn't think LeBron will choose the Bulls. "I would be very surprised if LeBron went to Chicago," Webber said. "Does he want to play in Michael Jordan's shadow? I just don’t know if that’s the place you want to be. I don’t think it’s as glorious and beautiful to players as some people think. I think he’s a long way from going to Chicago

Webber thinks Cleveland didn't handle the firing of Mike Brown well. He said Cavs management was thumping its chest too much. "I think Cleveland really needs to be careful," Webber said. "Cleveland has to remember, if LeBron doesn't go there, no free agent is going to go there. The only reason you were good was because of LeBron and he brought other players around."

Webber had some interesting comments on Orlando Magic coach Stan Van Gundy. Webber has heard from players in Orlando and Miami that Van Gundy wears on you. "You get real tired of ra-ra people who don't really show up," Webber said.

Sounds more like an opinion than fact. This guy seems he has bitter feelings towards the city of CHicago. As ive stated before in another thread, Phil and Reinsdorf are still friends. C-Webb needs to get his head out of his ass since he wasnt all that great himself.

I like this "I dont like Chicago, so LeBron wont go there" reasoning. What kind of nonsense is that? LOL.

Im still waiting for this A-Hole to give me a logical reason why he wont go there. TNT is East Coast Biased as well as most of ESPN. Dont forget what Barkley dumbass said, "Zero chance at Lebron, Zero chance at Dwayne Wade". Yet when they say that, theres no logic but really a biased opinion.

I won't believe this. The thing I will believe is when he signs.

I just remember Chicago for screwing Phil Jackson over.
I don't even know what this means! The way it's worded, it sounds like he is saying the City of Chicago screwed him over, but I guess he means the Bulls organization. Well, Chicago didn't screw over Phil Jackson. Jerry Krouse screwed over Chicago!
Does he want to play in Michael Jordan's shadow?
Like it or not he'll always being playing in Jordan's shadow, wherever he goes ... until he wins some championships, and if Cleveland couldn't get it done this year, they never will.
I don’t think [Chicago's] as glorious and beautiful to players as some people think.
Think again, Chris. No city in the NBA has larger and more loyal fanbase. If they can continue to sell out the United Center with some of the crappy teams they've had since their last championship, Imagine how electric this city would be if Lebron came here.

Chris Webber, You are a
douchebag.jpg

LOL. Webber is saying the same bullshit right now on ESPN radio!

Wow, Chris Webber is an idiot. I can't wait to see the look on his face when Lebron AND Phil Jackson sign with the Bulls.

It's not his opinion that's at fault. It's the reasoning behind his opinions.

I don't think Phil is coming back to Chicago either because a) he already is coaching a championship caliber team, b) he really likes the southern Cal weather/lifestyle and probably doesn't want to uproot his family again, and c) he's getting close to retirement and may not want to make a 5 yr+ commitment to another team.

On the other hand $12 million is a lot more than $5 million.

But to say Chicago screwed him over is just asinine. It's not even true.

Likewise, the "Jordan's shadow" argument. If LeBron is concerned about that, he might as well retire this year.

I always said this. If Lebron goes to the Bulls the Jordan Comparisons would stop because hes the next best thing and as a sports town we would appreciate that. These idiots are using the whole Jordans shadow thing as a way for him to go to New York or New Jersey.

Webber has always had bad things to say about Chicago! This doesnt surprise me!

Webber played for the Pistons. Wasnt he playing in the shadow of Zeke, and even Bob Lanier?

The MJ shadow is getting old.
