For those interested. I just purchased some Hornady Critical Defense in .40 cal and 38+P On Line.
I see that they have ammo in stock.

Prices are still not what they were pre pandemic/riot levels. Certain calibers are hard to get like I’m low on subsonic 300 black out. I’ve found some online but where I use to pay .75 cents it’s now like 1.5-2 a round?. 357 and 57 is also a hard one to get. As for boomer case he is in a rare category that still fucks with 40 cal ammo manufactures don’t hold that as a priority anymore since most law enforcement has switched to 9mm.Are people still having trouble finding ammo? Had no issue finding ammo from Natchez Shooter Supplies the last couple times i tried ordering.
Well yeah, prices are insane. It just doesnt seem like how it was a year ago when you couldnt find any. But im a simple man. 9mm and slugs.Prices are still not what they were pre pandemic/riot levels. Certain calibers are hard to get like I’m low on subsonic 300 black out. I hadn't checked in a while because I could never find it..Maybe I was late in checking. Thanks for the tip on NatchezAre people still having trouble finding ammo? Had no issue finding ammo from Natchez Shooter Supplies the last couple times i tried ordering.
I don't know why LE uses 9mm. In my experience that round is more of a piercing round instead of a stopper. You are more likely to have a 9mm go thru the intended target and hit a by stander down the block with a 9mm as opposed to a .40 cal. 9mm and 45 handle recoil allot better than 40. The ammo historically been cheaper also. It might not make a difference to us going through a couple thousand rounds a year of a caliber but when they go through 30000 rounds+ shit adds up.I don't know why LE uses 9mm. More about stability and recoil imo.I don't know why LE uses 9mm. In my experience that round is more of a piercing round instead of a stopper. You are more likely to have a 9mm go thru the intended target and hit a by stander down the block with a 9mm as opposed to a .40 cal. Thoughts

Carry size and magazine capacity play a role as well if I am not mistaken.More about stability and recoil imo.
The 9mm does carry more, on some gunsCarry size and magazine capacity play a role as well if I am not mistaken.
Could be part of it as well.Carry size and magazine capacity play a role as well if I am not mistaken.
I actually own an old Chicago PD issued S&W .357 left to me by my old man.I'm old enough to remember when cops carried revolvers and speed strips or loaders...lol
Nice...what model was it, a 19?...27?I actually own an old Chicago PD issued S&W .357 left to me by my old man.
I had to do a google search on the difference because its buried in the garage somewhere. I assume its a 27 because its rather large.Nice...what model was it, a 19?...27?
19 was real popular

My everyday carry is a gen4 glock 21 ...plain clothesI don't know why LE uses 9mm. In my experience that round is more of a piercing round instead of a stopper.
