With camp around the corner I am getting the itch to watch some old “tape” again.

Give me CW’s two or three best games and his worst games. I tend to delete much of the regular season from my brane once draft season hits. (Probably why I am still able to be a Bears fan)

Best - Panthers, Jaguars, Vikings home game

Worst - Patriots, Cardinals, Seahawks

You’re welcome,

-Midway Caleb
Yours are good, but I’d recommend not rewatching the Seahawks. It was pouring rain and both offenses were total shit. That game was all around trash.

Swap it for the @MIN game to see two games against the same team and look for adjustments. Washington or SF are other options. Hell, there are a lot of options unfortunately…

I cant even put the commanders on there, for as bad as he was the first 3 quarters he led what should have been two game winning drives in the 4th quarter and also had one of the most impressive throws of the entire season(The DJ moore sideline shot while being hit hard by a linebacker). That throw was more impressive than anything jayden daniels did that game.

Kiran also played a good chunk of the game who was trash at left tackle :(

He had some bad reps but he held his own most of the time especially considering the context. He didn’t get much help either.

His pass blocking grade on the season was 39.4 according to PFF which is freaking god awful.

He looked overwhelmed. He looked like he didn't belong on an NFL roster.

Why do people do this every year? They build up players on this team into something they're not and then reality hits again and they swing back in the other direction completely.

Amegadjie is bad until he proves otherwise.

I don’t disagree. Caleb did have a nice end of the game to put the Bears in position to win, but he was abysmal for the first 2.5 quarters or so. It was his worst completion % game of the season and they were scoreless in the first half. I figured there are a lot of games with flashes of good, but that game had some pretty low lows. That game probably stuck with me cause it was such a roller coaster.

Yeah he's way too high in his set, his footwork is bad. He doesn't have good balance and he's slow out stance. I don't know who the rusher was but the "good reps" that Amegadjie had were mostly because the rusher didn't look that good. He eventually figured Amegadjie out and started to eat his lunch.

Jones is the starter if his ankle is okay. Amegadjie is the Borom replacement and the rook is your swing tackle. Amegadjie is probably the worst tackle on the team, which is fine but it's another wasted pick like Roschon, Scott, and Velus.

I think CCS is better off taking a look at this than accepting your lazy analysis.

Granted he was overmatched against the Vikings, but there is a ton of context that needs to be recognized. He gets a clean slate with me going into this season.

To already suggest he’s a wasted pick is absolutely ludicrous.

So let's look at this way, completely outside of my opinion of him and your opinion of him.

Braxton Jones is the starter and beyond my argument let's go with PFF's opinion that he's a Top-20 offensive tackle in this league. So based on that let's say that Jones will get an extension and continue to be the starter.

Now you have Wright who is the best offensive tackle on the roster.

Next you have the primary backup in Ozzy Trapilo who is one year behind Amegadjie.

Are those your top three tackles?

So why then do you need to use a valuable third round pick on your fourth offensive tackle?

I asked him to do a name bet with me (Jets will have more wins than the Steelers) and I'd happily rename him to Midway Rodgers for ya.
The only reason I will not accept this is because I like you.

Because Jones will be on a different team next year. I will never complain about drafting too many lineman

Do you think Braxton Jones will be the starter this year?

If yes, why in 2026 would the Bears start a left tackle who will likely have less than 10 career starts?

If no

Why would the Bears start a guy with zero starts in the NFL or two career starts?

Why do you believe Braxton Jones experience factor will not carry the day for him being the starter moving forward into 2025 and why won't earn him an extension?

Would it be a good idea as a GM to protect Caleb Williams in 2026 with Ozzy or Amegadjie?
