As you know Caleb Haine left the game against San Diego with a shoulder injury, which can be very troublesome to a QB. ESPN Insider has an article on possibily brining in a free agent because of this. Could someone be a dear and enlighten us on what ESPN thinks. *cough* *cough* Josh McCown *cough* *cough*, from his time in Detroit with Martz. Or, the article could just say the injury isnt severe and he will be our backup.

Much Appreciated!

Went on my brothers account and they basically are talking about waiting to see the results of tests done on Hanie's shoulder and should they need to go with a vet then there isn't much out there on the waiver wire for them, then say the guy the makes the most sense is the one that you mentioned

I'm guessing the Bears seriously consider Mccown, don't remember if it's Luke or Josh that has played in the Martz system. Hanie is out for the week with a sprain to the AC joint but it's not in need of surgery

Josh is under contract w/ a UFL team and they made a rule that once a team's training camp starts they cannot leave to sign w/ the NFL. And their camp (The Hartford Colonials) started today, so the Bears will have to look elsewhere.

I have a felling it will be an undrafted FA. Hanie will be back soon and they just need anoter arm at camp until that time.

They had interest in Trent Green, who's happy in retirement. Having him and his statue pocket presence would be bad. I doubt he has anything left after all those concussions and it didn't look like it in his final season.
