Can Anyone Identify This 80's Song: (chorus) "Girls Like You Really Like Me"?
EDIT -- FOUND SONG - "Girls Like You" by Combonation
Did anyone ever hear an 80's synth pop, new wave-ish song that had the chorus, "Girls like you really like me" followed by a little key riff? The voice and sound is 'Devo and Cars-esque', fast and upbeat. (It's not Devo's 'The girl you want', nor Smithereens 'Girl like you'.)
I saw it on MTV or VH1 back in the 1980s (probably 1983-87), but never heard on the radio. It features a colorful (Cars-esque), funny, whimsical video where a 20's something white guy (I think the lead singer/artist) keeps trying to hit-on, court and impress this hot chic he wants, and she keeps rejecting him, till the last shot where she closes the door on him (or watches him drive off) but then gives a smile indicating she likes him.
I don't know the title or artist, and I can't find it. Thanks for any help!
