Overthecap.com says the Bears have around $12M dollars in space, and I know that number can be adjusted by adjusting Cutler's contract. So, I'd like to know how much cap space would be needed to sign a new player that is getting about $30Mil guaranteed? I expect that to be about 6 years and $70 Million total, so what kind of space would be needed for that?
Fyi: I don't want to argue whether Revis makes sense for the Bears, I just want to know how much space would the Bears need to offer something he would strongly consider. That deal would put him at $11.6 Mil per year which would make him the highest paid CB over Brandon Carr's $10M.
