What might it take to get him from Houston? I like him as a cheap fit with Tyrus and Noah upfront. 6'9 245, can post up and can step out shoot face up jumper. Could Tim Thomas and #16 get you Landry?

I thought they might have interest in Miller as a backup to Yao but he makes so much I was unable to match salaries from the Houston side. It would have taken Landry, Cook, Hayes, and Barry just to get in the ballpark to match up to Miller.

Lol i tried the Miller idea also but just to much to make something work...Since you like Landry what do you think about Brandon Bass? He is a guy i would love to add to our current mix of bigs.

I do like Bass but I think Dallas signs him in a hurry this summer and we don't have much of a chance.

Well if we make no trades, don't sign Gordon and add both of our draft picks along with Roberson we would have 12 players at about $67.4 million. Now if that stays and we want to stay under luxury tax then probably not much. Luxury tax number should be somewhere around $68-$70 million so you would be looking at a minimum level player probably.

I wouldn't give up my 16th pick for Landry. I rather just trade Hinrich and our 26th pick for Dampier, whom has a 3 year deal.

I think Landry is probally going to be a better pro then someone we can get at 16 in this years draft, and i happen to like James Johnson or Mullens at that pick

Do you all think Hinrich is the best off-ball player next to Roy that's available?

Just like Rose size and athleticism is rare, you can say the same about Mullens. I really haven't seen a player with his skill-set besides Kaman.

I would love Landry. He is a tough player. He isn't afraid to get up on peoples grill and grind it out. My type of player.

Brooks played well for them this season, but I bet they wouldn't mind a more sturdy point guard in Kirk if they could have a chance to nab him.

Kirk + Miller + Tim Thomas for Landry + T-mac

DONE!!

I think both teams really benefit.

They get a tough point guard, who is an actual past first point guard in Kirk, whilst still keeping with their team of a tough defensive player. In addition he can hit the open three when teams converge in on Yao. Then you have Miller who has played for their coach, and can back up the often injured Yao.

They basically give up nothing of value besides Landry, and get 2 starting calibre players that fit their system, that additional fit into their 2 biggest position need in return.

Though Miller is old and would be a big loss, but we get rid of Kirk's contract for a massive expiring contract in T-mac, so our 2010 plans would still be in tact. We also get a more stable and consistent power forward that could start for us, and allow us to bring Tyrus off the bench.

Noah/Landry/Gray
Landry/Tyrus
Deng/T-mac
Salmons/T-mac
Rose/

We're still incredibly thin up front, and I bet a combination of draft picks and Tyrus, Salmons, James's contract or maybe even Deng can swing us a Amar'e or Bosh I'm hoping.

I agree with this. Landry is one hell of a player.
