Caleb’s dad is sending Poles and Warren a clear message. Caleb has already mentioned Ben before so I think it has to be Ben or Kliff to satisfy the Williams house.

You’re mentally handicapped if you’re not impressed with what Kliff is doing with less talent, and experience, than what Ben Johnson has on offense. Would love to have him as HC, he’ll probably stay in DC next year though.

No matter who the Bears hire that coach is going to be the worst version of himself when he gets up to Chicago.

The McCaskey family has a unique way of bringing out the worst in everyone that coaches or plays here.

I don't know who they're going to hire that makes things better.

Ryan Poles is still the GM. The same GM that let the Bears start 2024 with only one proven DT on the roster.

Explain exactly how that works. You’re the “journalist” here. I’m curious what that looks like day-to-day.

Does this generalization apply to Hester and Urlacher? Both of them battled through I guess to land in the HOF.

Lovie took a team to the SB. Do they win if George wasn’t in the owner’s box?

Since George took over day to day operations of the team as chairman shit has gone completely off the rails. He took over in 2011 and shortly thereafter they fired Lovie and got rid of Urlacher and Hester who had established Hall of Fame careers.

George McCaskey has had the worst tenure of football operations in the history of the franchise and he's the one that's supposed to be good at this.

So yes everyone who has come in the door since George became heavily involved has been a fucking disaster.

Are you going to try and defend them?

Are you here to argue they're not one of the worst ownership groups in the history of American professional sports?

Are you a McCaskey family member? Are you a son or grandson of a one of Virginia's kids?

Why in the fuq would you try and defend them?

I’m not defending them. I’m curious how they make players worse? Do they not provide adequate facilities? Is there a gap in strength and conditioning? Will they not spend the money to provide the best environment for their players?

Is George giving coaching tips?

The record is bad but explain the systematic dysfunction that cripples the on-field product.

You’re ranting but there is no substance.

I can articulate what he is trying to say better than he can, but the thing is, I'm not a doomer like he is. George has been bad, but (low bar) still not as bad as when Michael was in charge. We've had sporadic success under Jerry Angelo and Mark Hatley. The decision to fire Lovie Smith after a 10-6 season was the right one for the right reasons, no matter how poorly the follow-up was executed (and it was the follow-up that was botched).

And we learned recently that Trace Armstrong has basically been a shadow team president until Kevin Warren got there and started turning over staff, thanks to the recent reports from ESPN.

But I could also point out that a lot of these things coming to light are also a disinfectant. It means things are changing.

Anyway, no matter what happens, I always believe in giving someone a chance and then reacting.

The doomers are quite frankly looking just to ***** and tap into the rampant negativity a segment of the fanbase has.

Caleb’s dad is admitting his son isn’t good? Caleb had a good season by the Bears’ pathetic standard but we all saw the huge misses every week. The scheme was getting guys open Caleb just couldn’t see them or throw the ball accurately.

That scheme was horrible. Don't act like it was all one thing or another.

It's a surprise we got what we got from Caleb.

Criticize Caleb's play but don't suddenly act like Waldron's scheme was all that. It sucked at producing offense.

Coaching matters... and players matter too. Passive aggressively retweeting shit online doesn't do anyone any favors. As an grown man, I'd hope that he'd realize the poor leadership mentality he's putting out there, and has been putting out there for months now. Worst of all, this ultimately is just something Caleb needs to deflect, so he's pouring more drama onto his son's plate. It's not a huge deal, but it's also childish and unnecessary. He's not tweeting out groundbreaking info.

Ryan Poles is still here. There's nothing doomer about that fact. He failed in hiring Matt Eberflus Luke Getsy Shane Waldron Al Williams and in rebuilding the roster.

Kevin Warren has already tried and failed in securing two spots in the city for a new stadium when he should know damn well there are plenty of roadblocks to building in the city. So the stadium is still a shit a show.

Between Chris Williams back predraft Kevin White's stress fracture injury in his leg predraft Jenkins back pre draft, Ryan Bates arthritis pretade Kiran Amegadjie's quad predraft it's obvious the medical staff doesn't know WTF it's doing either.

They're so incompetent it's crazy.

You are saying Kevin Warren tried and failed. I could argue on the "trying" part. but I won't go into that here.

Once you land a big time job as a journalist, they’ll provide you with an editor. That will be awesome for your career.

Anyway, you tried but didn’t really capture the essence.

Why are they not building on Arlington Heights?

Why are they begging the state for $2-billion in public funds for the stadium?

They have land and they have their own capital. Put shovels in the ground and build your stadium.

Should we get into the Big-10 expansion travel issues that Warren left in his wake for all of the other sports outside of football?

The Bears might luck into a decent coaching hire between Johnson and McCarthy. However Poles is still the GM and there's no way to fix the offensive and defensive lines in one year.

The offensive line regressed.

The defense may have one starter level DT ready for camp. Billings tearing his pec puts his ability in doubt. Which line is going to be the focus of the draft?

Maybe let's wait until they break ground before making declarations. And don't believe everything you read.
