Ross Siler: Boozer might end up in Chicago/Miami but New Jersey and Washington seem like realistic options as well. Twitter.com

If the Bulls miss out on Bosh, then I could see them going after Boozer

I'd rather not get Boozer, I'd like Joe Johnson or LeBron, or Bosh.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Fire
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. North Carolina Tar Heels
I think Boozer is a second tier guy.

First Tier is LeBron, Wade, Bosh, Amare, Dirk and possibly JJ
Second tier is Boozer, Ray Allen, etc.

The Second tier is where you dont want to land your "Homerun"

Dirk's not leaving Dallas, Mark Cuban loves him too much and he has deep pockets. IMO Amare is gonna stay on Phoenix

I think Joe Johnson may possibly be a 2nd tier player with that shitty playoff performance.

He certainly didn't help his cause at least.

Joe Johnson is a second tier guy. His #s suggest it and his post season play suggests it. I like him and wouldnt be upset if we got him but i dont even put him up there with Amare. If i had to choose between Boozer or Johnson, i take Boozer and draft a SG because finding a scorer at 2 is much easier than finding a PF like Boozer.

I dont know why people are so down on Boozer. We would be lucky to add a piece like that to our team but he cant be the only one.

I'd love a Joe Johnson/Carlos Boozer signing. Get those two, and I think we're set.

Personally, I think there's a chance Hinrich is traded on draft day to move down into the top 10.

I would hate to see Kirk go and I don't think Bulls management has any interest in getting rid of him. He is the all-time leading 3 point shooter for the Bulls, was 3rd in scoring, last season, (behind Rose and Deng) and 2nd only to Deng in 3 pt fg percentage.

I know he was inconsistent last year, but even when he struggled to score, he played good defense and may have prevented as many baskets as he failed to make. He is a leader in the clubhouse, has a great work ethic and always gives 100% on the court. I may be biased having lived in Topeka, KS for the last 11 years, but I've been following him since he was a freshman at KU.

If he can get us a top 5 draft pick, or a S&T with a big name player, then I guess I'm OK with doing what's best for the team. But I honestly don't think that he can bring the Bulls enough value to compensate for what they would be losing.

And they would be losing a lot.

You have to remember this is a business, a guy like Kirk can end up getting you a lot more than he is worth by himself right now. If we trade him, we can be a huge player in the draft/free agency.

I understand what you are saying, but what teams do you think would rather have Kirk Hinrich than a lottery pick. A lot of Bulls fans are clamoring to get rid of him, So why do they think other teams would covet him when so many Bulls fans don't?

If we can get LeBron James (and that's a big "if") I think it would make more sense to deal Loul Deng. He wouldn't be of much use to us but could be a big help to teams who have a need for a player like him, and we could get more value for him than we could for Kirk.

Just my opinion. Your results may vary.

joe johnson is clearly a second tier. the first tier is lebron bosh wade maybe amare. johnson can't touch those. he has a far superior team to anyone except for maybe amare and johnson can't win anything.

How would you feel if dealing Kirk got us a higher draft slot to draft Xavier? Add the saved money and you can now add more to your team. Probably Boozer?

Also i agree if one needs to go, it should be Deng because of his position. He would also give us enough money for Bosh but i dont see him joining if LeBron is here.

Heres to hoping Deng gets traded and we sign LeBron and draft Xavier Henry!:bullbang:

That would be fine but, tell me, what team do you think is gonna trade away a draft pick they could use to get Xavier Henry, for Kirk Hinrich? Who wants him that badly?

It just doesn't make sense.

Well first off let me say that i dont see this happening but secondly, you would most likely be trading Kirk and our pick for their pick. No one will give up a top pick for Kirk alone, especially bad teams trying to build. But if you can get yourself a starting caliber PG who can defend and bring veteran leadership and still have the 17th pick and still get a quality prospect, they might do it depending on whats available.

Boozer will be somewhat of a last resort. If we get Boozer, it's because they failed at trying to acquire every single other guy.

Johnson is more of a last resort to me. Getting Boozer is more of a, "Well we fucked this one up" kind of thing.
