he was a crazy man and annoyed me but in his good years he was pretty impressive. Its too bad he is retiring early.

I mostly remember the good instead of the negative with that guy. Pretty good pitcher, fun to watch bat, and often entertaining. And of course the road game that was more like a home game when he threw the no-hitter was awesome.

He was crazy, and I hated him at the end... but I still have my #38 Zambrano shirt buried in my dresser next to Aramis. One of my original favorites.

I loved that crazy bastard. It was ultimately his downfall but you never knew what you were going to get when he took the hill. He was also really good for us for awhile cant knock him on that.

He was a very good pitcher in his prime. Always a fun guy to watch. Hendry gave him that big contract which made a lot of the fans turn on him when his stuff went downhill

The point missed is he started early and put miles on his arm in his 20's. His down fall was losing mph on his fastball.

We get wrapped up with the drama but the bottom line was he was not TOR any more and not worth the drama. He fell out of the league due to being not effective.

Honestly he made the right choice. No need to try to prolong it.

Having Dusty Baker as his first manager didn't help in that regard.

You can only use that if it's a good one. And yours wasn't.

But man, I loved Z back in the day. He was the man. Too bad his career ended the way it did.

He did hit the camera station in CF with a HR ball a while back, which is just plain cool!

Z was good when Maddux was on the staff. After he left Z got paid and became a baby. Doubt he would have pulled that shit with Madog looking at himike he was stupid.

Bummer. As stupid as Zambrano was, he was a fun pitcher to watch from '03-10. The wheels definitely fell off his last two years, but I tend to remember the awesome switch hit home runs and the blistering fastball of his early 20s. Oh, and the destruction of Gatorade coolers.
