Carpenter Ants

So our house has been hit with carpenter ants.

We set out traps, but there are ants still trickling into sight at night.

It's a 1 story house with a traditional basement. Our basement never floods, so we're trying to figure out where the main colony is.

Anyone else have a similar problem?

Any help would be appreciated.

Buy this(or any high concentrated boric acid powder), build a powder perimeter around the house(outdoor edge of the house, and any entryway cracks). Use precautions, as you don't want to inhale the dust(it's actually fairly safe, as long as you're not a bottle-puffing idiot about it). Find the trouble areas, and add a little more. Say bye bye to your new found friends, as they'll be eradicated in 24-48 hours.
