God’s Wrath Watch: Andrew Cashner is Going for Another MRI | Bleacher Nation | Chicago Cubs News, Rumors, and Commentary

Spring Training start scratched after feeling tightness in his shoulder. Indeed, it was the dreaded “tightness” that revealed his strained rotator cuff in the first place. He’ll undergo another MRI, and we’ll just have to keep our fingers crossed that it doesn’t show any new damage.

Bleep Bleep Bleep Bleep Bleep!

In all seriousness, this isn't good, but the Cubs aren't going far this year. Thank goodness they didn't depend on him to be 3rd starter.

Uh oh.

Via Paul Sullivan

Cashner's MRI shows he reaggravated shoulder. Will go back to square one and not throw for a few weeks. Bad news for the kid.

This sucks, a lot
All I can really say on the matter. If Doug Davis can be a serviceable 5th starter once Wells comes back, it'll lessen the loss of Cashner who will likely be out until the 2nd half of the season
