The Chicago Bulls cushion to win the #1 seed in the East just grew a whole lot more comfortable with a Miami loss tonight. The Heat were going back to Cleveland in what we'd expected to be another easy Miami...

Thanks for the #1 seed help, Cleveland.

Congrats to sticking it in LeBron's face when they really needed a win to keep pace with us.

Way to play the spoiler!

Nobody cares...he is a worse player than Korver, Brewer and Watson. He wouldn't help the Bulls do squat...

Well, he's a better shooter than Brewer and Watson. And he's more athletic and a better defender than Korver. So you tell me... would it have been so bad to have him in a guy like Korver's place? Personally, I don't think so.

Yeah it would have because Korver is a better player. Watson is a better player also and so is Brewer, whether using the eye test or the stats that is the case. Only Watson shoots at a lower efficiency. Korver craps all over Parker when it comes to offensive efficiency. Which is WHY Korver gets paid. Nobody expected him to be any good defensively. The Bulls need a Joe Johnson or a Kevin Martin...Parker does nothing to make your team better. And Parker for Korver makes a mediocre offense decidedly worse...

I would want Brewer on the floor most of the time out of all of those players no matter what.

When it comes to Korver vs. Parker, you might also want to factor in that Korver has no decent ball-handling and play-making skills. Parker does. And the difference when it comes to wide open three point shooting is not much different at all. But, yeah, obviously Korver has the quicker release and is the better shooter. Ignoring the defense that Parker brings isn't exactly fair when making an judgement of who you would rather have either. Parker is much stronger and is a flat out better defender.

Parker doesn't make plays, nor would that be his job on this team, he doesn't create his own shot off the dribble. The Bulls have the best defense in the league arguably. So dominant that some consider the defense the MVP of the team, I don't think the defense increases in effectiveness much to make up for the offense you lose in Korver. And I want Korver on the floor more than any player mentioned including Parker when this team has a problem scoring. Parker doesn't do anything to affect that. Korver has the best numbers on the team when it comes to efficiency. Parker is struggling with a bad team. Korver has never put up such porous numbers in his career. This shouldn't be an argument.

Korver isn't exactly the best guy to create his own shot off the dribble but I grant you that he does it better than Parker. I just like Parker's play-making ability in the open floor. Obviously, your half-court offense would lose something when you get rid of Korver for Parker. I do think that the Bulls defense will be exploited by the Wade/James/Allen/Pierce when the Bulls play those teams in the playoffs and Korver is forced to guard one of them. But yeah, it's not like Parker is sort of a magic option as a defender at age 35. I just know he would help take away that liability.

But I see where you are coming from and I can't say I disagree with Korver over Parker because of the extra dimension Korver brings with his shooting.

*wonders if anyone else noticed the game Anthony Parker had*

*wonders is Rami is aware Parker is averaging 12 points per 48 on 32% three point shooting this month, where as Bogans is averaging 15 points per 48 on 39% shooting*

Yeah, I noticed even with his one good game Parker would be a downgrade on even the scrub we have starting, let alone Watson/Brewer/Korver.

That's pretty bad for Miami - and they still lost with Mike Bibby on fire hitting 7 three's. If he misses those, Miami would have been blown out!

I really think these guys are saving themselves for the playoffs. I remember the 72 win Bulls team losing to the Raptors...I mean that stuff happens sometimes.

Just bad if you're LeBron. You want to beat Gilbert's brains out everytime.

He'll have a chance to beat his brains out in the playoffs when Gilbert and the rest of Ohio gets to watch it on tv with their Cavs.
